But there were Bernie Sanders supporters from all walks of life and both genders who wanted change in America most of all. Dems, women, minorities, libs, socialists are included in the movement that got Trump elected IMHO (squelching even Reps, men, women, who voted against him)... and sitting out the election on both sides was a factor too (about the candidates) and therefore the Trump victory is even greater... Hillary got about six million votes in California..... How many of those were citizens voting... Public Policy Institute of California, estimated that, in 2013, 2.67 million unlawful immigrants resided in California; God only knows how many there are now... and she only won in California by less than three million votes... Hillary won that county by 42,694 votes..... so how effective was the democratic party in getting the illegals to vote?
