Gothic Christian:

You have no obligation to listen to anyone on this site. This is between you and God. I believe you honestly think homosexual behavior is ok with God.

I also believe you want to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Would you then be willing to do this?....

Forget your lecturers, forget your volumes of books, forget scientific research, forget it all.............except your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Then, go on your knees before God, repent of all your sin of which you are aware, and ask Him to lead you to purity. Put the homosexuality aside and lay everything in His hands.

Don't TELL God what to do. Ask Him what He desires of you.

Pray for the grace to truly WANT to know HIS will. Open your heart to Him and let Him lead you.

The deeper I get into my relationship with Jesus, the more I recognize sin in my life that I never noticed before.

What I thought were my most serious offenses against God turned out to be the tip of the iceberg." I struggle with sins of pride and lack of faith that are more pernicious than those sins I previously thought to be troublesome.

I have a friend who is the most beautiful, spiritual man I know. He loves Jesus and sincerely tries to live for Him. And, he is gay.

I believe sex between persons of the same sex is wrong. But, as I said, it's not my opinion that counts.

Ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide you and give yourself over to Him. You'll be surprised at what you'll be asked to "give up". But in return you get Jesus Christ, Himself as you Saviour and Friend.

I offer this in love, as I only want you to have a full and beautiful life in Christ.

A fellow sinner,

Fiosh

Well, it all boils down to one thing. Either you believe what God says or you don't. If you don't believe God's word, then you're wasting everyone's time....simple.

With all due respect, eric, I think our dear brother GC wants to believe God's word, but is having difficulty understanding and accepting it.

Trying to help a brother deal with what is obviously a perplexing situation, that deeply effects his walk with Christ, is not a waste of my time.

Peace,

F

Just because now marriage is defined as between a man and woman does not mean it was always so.

God defined marriage as being between man and a woman. This was established in Gen 2:23-24. God created woman to be the helper of man. The ish and ishah become one flesh.

The marriage ceremony and vows we take today is a relatively recently phenomenon and marriage now is not at all the same as marriage in the Old or New Testament

Fiosh, I understand what you are saying and I agree, but I think Eric was speaking to the rationalization aspects of GC's posts.  I could be wrong, but I think that's it.

God's Word never needs to be rationalized, justified, characterized or anything else  except taken as what it is the unerring Word of God Almighty.

LRS, I see what you mean. But sometimes, our carnal nature blinds us to our sins against a Holy God. It is only by His grace that our sins are revealed to us. One of my most difficult prayers, and one that is almost always answered quickly is: "Lord, show me my sin". There are times I am afraid to pray that prayer because once I see my sin, I have no excuse but to absolve to sin no more.

"Jesus said to them, 'If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say 'We see', your guilt remains". John 9:41

"And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you; go and do not sin again.' " John 8:11

Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

We shouldn't be too hard on our brother, we all have our own delusions about our righteousness----until we realize that the benchmark is a perfect and holy God---then we see our righteousness as filthy rags and reach out to touch the hem of His garment and receive His healing power.

Peace,

Fiosh

Oops, I meant "resolve" to sin no more.

It's late and my brain is fading.

Also brother, with all due respect, I don't think GC does want to believe God's word from a christian standpoint, or he would stop a while and reflect what christians are telling him. Instead, he's adamant that his translation of scripture is right and everyone else is wrong. There are two threads going on this board in different forums discussing the same topic, with people denying the truth of the word of God, not because they dont believe it, but besause they dont want to believe it and after so many times of trying to put them on the right track, my christian charity is wearing a little thin and now I'm too tired and my head is too sore from that brick wall.

cheers,

eric.

Jesus did endorsed marriage, but here I would say that it is us that have made the boundaries for marriage, and as I see it as fine for two people of the same sex to get married, here I would say that Jesus endorses their relationship. I see marriage as man made, and believe that marriage is in the eyes of God. So if two people love each other (heterosexual or homosexual) then I believe they are married in the eyes God, so the act of making love is fine for these couples. But nevertheless even if you disagree with this then that is still not against all homosexual unions, as some same sex couples who love each other do not make love because of their faith beliefs. I also don

As long as you are a practicing bisexual, your father is Satan. All sinners are under the dominion of Satan until they are saved.  He is the god of this world and is the "god" you serve.  The God of the Bible hates your lifestyle and calls for you

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Satan is the "father of lies" and a powerful adversary, is he not?

But, praise God:

1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I would implore all God's children who read this thread to pray that Gothic Christian reject the lies and accept the Truth of God's Word.

Peace,

Fiosh

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
