How do we establish a new and deeper relationship with Jesus ?

Quote

Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering. 10And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory inChrist, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you. 11To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen.…1 Peter 5:10

Before we can establish a new and deeper relationship with Christ, we must first acquire  enough intellectual light to satisfy our mind that we have been given the right to stand in this new relationship.

Even if the shadow of a doubt here will destroy our confidence.

Then, having seen the light , we must advance .

We must make our choice  , commit to it and take our rightful place as confidence as a tree is planted in the ground.

Then there follows of time of establishing and testing ,  during we must stand still until the new relationship becomes so ingrained in us that it becomes a permanent habit.

It is comparable to a surgeon setting a broken arm by splinting it to keep it from moving.

God too has His spiritual splints he wants to put on His children to keep them quiet and still until they pass the first stage of faith.

Sometimes the trial will be difficult but the God of all grace  ,who called you to His eternal glory in Christ ,  after you have suffered a little for awhile ,  will Himself restore you in making you strong , firm and steadfast .

A.B. Simpson

There is a natural law at work in sin and in sickness, and if we just drift along following the flow of our circumstances , we will sink under the power of the temper.

But there is another law of spiritual and physical life  in Christ Jesus to which we can rise  , and through which we can counterbalance and overcome the natural law that weighs us down.

Doing this , however , requires spiritual energy  ,a determined purpose ,a sure stance and the habit of faith.

There is a spiritual law of choosing ,believing, abiding and remaining steadfast in our walk with God.

This law is essential to the working of the Holy Spirit in our sanctification and in our healing.

from Days of heaven upon earth.

Where do we stand in our relationship with Jesus, how do we grow in Him?

Do we take the time to be still and let the Holy Spirit teach us how to grow closer and deeper in our relationship with our Savior?

In our daily life are we quick to forgive other people ?

When we were unkind or have spoken harsh words to people  are we quick to apologize to each other?

Do we recognize when somebody is truly born of God by their actions and fruits and do we examine how we live?

This life on earth is so short , we are  pilgrims traveling to our heavenly destination ,  what is important in our daily life ?

1 Cor. 6:20

The Temple of the Holy Spirit
…19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

Our salvation is the work of God from beginning to end.  From the time we acknowledge the existence of God, to our becoming aware of our sin and need of forgiveness, to the revelation of Jesus in Scripture.  Then we come to see Father God in and through Him and come to know Jesus as Messiah Savior God.  God with us.  He reveals that salvation is by faith alone, not by works.  He teaches us through Scripture, leads us and teaches us how to recognize His voice so that we may walk after the Spirit.   Then He establishes us through trials and confirms us by them.

Yes, we are made to hunger after Him and we have not chosen to resist His grace.  We do have free will and many are called but few are chosen.  But as we look back we recognize how God had been working in our lives to bring us to Himself so that we can give Him all the glory for the work He has done in us.   It would be a sin to give any credit to ourselves.  He gives us both the will and the ability to do His good pleasure.  We are a miracle of His grace.  Our salvation is a gift of God so that no man can boast.  And we are overwhelmed with thanksgiving.

Amen , Willa, how are you sister?

Gods love for us is so deep , it's amazing to realize the reality, if people could only grasp this truth  , it will our  whole outlook in  life, He's the reason for which we live, we have so many blessing and they are new every morning,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
