I've heard alot of Christian say a lot of really bad things about Isreal and the Jewish people. When I asked them how can they be Christians and followers of Christ who is Jewish Himself if they hate Isreal? Their answer is always the Jewish people that is now in Isreal is not the true children of God.

My question is where in the bible does it say that we Christians or unbelievers get to choose who is a real Jew? And where does it say that we are to support Isreal only if we think that the Jewish people there is God's children? :emot-hug:

God Bless You

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and became a sharer of the root and the fatness of the olive tree with them,

18 do not boast against the branches. But if you boast, it is not you that bears the root, but the root bears you.

19 You will say then, The branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.

20 Well, because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be high-minded, but fear.

21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, fear lest He also may not spare you either!

(Romans 11:17-21)

We are not to look down at Jews for our salvation, because our salvation is rooted in Judaism. They are still His chosen people, still part of His plan for mankinds redemption, in whom His glory will shine. Praise the Lord for grafting of us wild branches.

My question is where in the bible does it say that we Christians or unbelievers get to choose who is a real Jew?  And where does it say that we are to support Isreal only if we think that the Jewish people there is God's children?

Greetings Jacqueline,

Romans 9:6-8 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Then we might consider:

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

I Love Israel wherever they are found in the world and I pray God blesses them with the knowledge of our Savior. I truly believe that those who bless Israel shall be blessed. But it is in showing mercy to the poor, to the orphan, to the widow and showing mercy by delivering to them the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

Romans 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 11:31-32 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

If and when I provide money to the Jews, it will be according to what God has already said.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

1. The answer your friends gave you was rubbish. The Jews have been and shall always be God's chosen people. There is no statute of limitations on that.

2. No one has the right to say "this is person is a "true Jew" and this one isn't. There is not biblical basis for that kind of thinking. I was just as Jewish before I was saved as I am now. I was not a "fake Jew" back then, and I did not become more Jewish after I got saved. I just found out what it truly means to be Jewish. I discovered the most Jewish thing we can do is accept our Messiah.

3. The current nation of Israel is a product of Divine providence and is a fulfillment of the prophecies concerning Israel's rebirth Isaiah 66: 7-8; and God calling of the Jewish people back to his Land (Ezek. 36). Some Christians stumble over the fact that God is actually using and working with unsaved Jews to rebuild His Land. There is this stigma that some Christians have that God can or will only work with saved Jews, despite the fact that God uses unsaved Gentiles to fulfill His purposes all of the time. That little fact seem to get conveniently ignored . As always, Jews are held to a different standard.

4. We support Israel because it is the morally superior position to hold. The Land of Israel belongs to the Jews for four reasons.

A. God promised the Land uncondtionally to Abraham for all generations. Gen 17:8,9

B. It was the Jews who settled the Land, irrigated the deserts, and dried up the swamps. They created industry and infrastructure, and made the Land prosperous.

C. The Land Israel is sitting on now was won in a defensive war that Israel was forced to fight by the surrounding Arab nations.

D. Israel's right to exist in her ancient homeland was recognized by the world in 1947.

Amen to all. Israel'ss covenant with God did not disappear. I remember reading things like ...unto all your generations...in the Old Testament. I also remember a verse in the New Testament that says something like "When the full number of the gentiles have been saved (or is completed), then God will save the whole of Israel". I don't remember where, but I'm sure you can find it if you look.

Luke 21:23-28 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

My question is where in the bible does it say that we Christians or unbelievers get to choose who is a real Jew? And where does it say that we are to support Isreal only if we think that the Jewish people there is God's children?

Christians should go out of their way to encourage and help Jewish people everywhere...it is a supernaturally natural thing to do because if the Jewish Messiah has raised you from the dead and given you new life...Then by His spirit that is in you ...you should long to see His brethren purchased by the blood of the Lamb....As Believers we have a strong and legitimate connection to the Jewish people...and a divine obligation to them.

Romans 11:30-31 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Above all the Church should be seeking to help those Jewish brethren who love Yeshua and seek to reach out and be a faithful witness to their own people...especially in the great nation of Israel where the biggest battle going on is for the hearts and minds of the L-rds Covenant people.

Galations 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.

Here might be a good time to bring up one of the ministries of the founder of this message board. Project Hear, O Israel:

http://hearoisrael.worthyministries.com/

Worthy Ministries launched its Project Hear O'Israel project in September 2003! Scripture tells us that Messiah will not return until His people say - "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." (Matthew 23:39) But how can Israel hear of their Messiah unless those who are called are sent?

How shall they (we) preach, except they (we) be sent? (Romans 10:15)

Romans 11

25 For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations has comes in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

27 For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
