Weird my post disappeared.

I personally wont be eating dinner with another woman alone, but then again I'm not in a business where I may have to.  I have had lunch with female coworkers and don't have an issue with that.  However I think this ridiculous that anyone would find an issue with him doing this.  It is petty and downright childish.  None of us know his reasoning for this so its silly at the end of the day.  As far as the internet shock and ridicule, lets not exaggerate this.  For the few  hundred people that had something to say about it there millions more that don't really care.  Let's stop making mountains out of molehills.

I can understand not being alone, as in a hotel room or a closed office with a member of the opposite gender as that leaves things to a "he said, she said" if any accusations are ever made.  When I was a supervisor I would never have a member of the opposite gender in my office alone with the door shut.  Either we had a 3rd person or we would leave the door open.

But having a meal in a public setting makes no sense to me.  You might as well have a rule not to have a one-on-one discussion with a woman standing in church after the service is over, that could lead to just as much gossip as two people having dinner at the same table.

But yes, this was just a diversion from all that is happening in DC, those on the right can use it to distract and attack those on the left.  That way nobody is talking about us paying for a wall that we were told dozens and dozens of times Mexico would pay for.

I find it amazing that a man's free choice to show his wife respect is ridiculed at all. But to interject the idea that it is an offense to equality is a reach to levy insult. What a shame.

Here is what is so insane:

Trump's enemies accuse him of being sexist.   He is sexist because he was an adulterer who allegedly objectifies women.

Mike Pence is the polar opposite of Trump.  He has never objectified women, never said anything like what Trump said, and is still married to his first and only wife.  Never committed adultery and goes the extra mile to honor his wife and marriage is now "sexist.

So Trump is sexist for failing to honor his marriage(s)  and  Pence is "sexist" for honoring his marriage and his wife.   Both are sexist, according to the anti-Trumpers.    Sorry, but they cannot have it both ways.  It really is a dumb argument on their part.

So it really has nothing to do with "values."   The very people who castigated Trump over last summer about the Access Hollywood video and his "sexism,"   are the same people who are now calling "Pence" sexist for being the opposite of Trump, for being a decent, upstanding family man.

This is about hating Pence and Trump, not values. If Trump had been the model husband, they would do to him what they are now doing to Pence.

Conflict orientation isn't typically intelligent is it? It's rage motivated. To instigate rage, to nourish rage that already exists, to boil conflict, to disable peace.

The unintelligent argument in this case of Vice President Pence loses on its face when it makes a claim of sexism against him for his honoring of his wife in this way. Unfortunately, the media that plays that card does so because it knows first that the demographic that will eat that kind of hate speech up were already full of hate for the Trump/Pence ticket when they were in the running for the office the American people later voted them into.

That type are going to be of this mind set for four long years.  1460 long days of animus boiling inside the opponents of the reality of our current U.S. Administration.

There's something deeply wrong with those who dig to find fault with a man who openly publicly honors his wife.

Anyone who could mock or show disdain for Mike Pence's decision to act in a respectful way has no values of their own.  They simply don't understand how a Christian chooses to act.

Amen. There's a passage that I can't recall the book it is from. It says something to the effect, for those who are in sin righteousness is something to be opposed?
I'll have to seek it out.

I think I remember something to that effect; if you find it, please post it.  It would be very relevant to this thread.

I'm still not finding the exact verse that I referred to. I have found some that are close though.

"Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless, but sin overthrows the wicked." Proverbs 13:6

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34

Could this be it?

Isaiah 59:14 (NLT)  Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found.Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.

That too is very close. :) Thank you. I'm searching about in different tabs using keywords. I know I've heard the verse before. For those who are in their sins righteousness is to be opposed. Or righteousness is disdain?

 Ack, it's aggravating. I know it's there I just can't find it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
