What scripture says that exactly ? The physical world was created so that we would be the judges of angels.

Good question -- Posted in response to this --

Paul tells us that we will judge angels....  that is why the physical world was created

That question gets to the point of "sola scriptura testing" of all doctrine and practice instead of just "making stuff up". Recall that in Mark 7:6j-13 the Jewish leaders were condemned by Christ for just "making stuff up"

The response to that good question, and thank you for saying so, would have to be supported by scripture don't you think? Scripture that says the world was created so that people could judge the angels?

The common sense defense wouldn't hold in any other discussion about scriptural declarations or inferences would it?

When did God decide for us to judge Angeles? Was it an after thought?

That isn't a scripture supporting your prior statement that we're all discussing here. The world was created by God so that we could judge the angels.

No like other things you have to apply common sense to what you are reading.

So why did God create the physical world?

Agreed. We know from 1 Cor 6 that the saints will in fact judge the fallen angels - but no Bible text says that the world was created for that purpose - that I know of.

Well there is certainly room for logic, common sense, reason ... in formulating a doctrine/opinion/preference - but even then it should be 'tested' by the Bible to see if it is contradicting the Bible. If your local church says that everyone who sits on the platform and leads out each week - must wear red shoes - that "custom" or rule or practice does not violate some Bible doctrine and so would be "allowed" - but it also does not allow it to elevate to the level of "scripture" or "divine command" or ...

IMHO God took responsibility for Satan's actions as his Creator when he set out to

create the physical realm and set into motion his plan of redemption for man (which he

personally became one for all eternity to come).

Otherwise God could have justly washed his hands of Satan and all the fallen angels and banished them

to tartarus and been done with it (and never had to create a physical realm).

I think that is not quite correct.

First and foremost - God created a free-will system for intelligent life in the universe. That sovereign choice comes with some strong limitations. If God wants all intelligent life in the universe to Love God of their own free will. Then  if God knows that zapping rebellion has the downside effect of making all intelligent life question whether God is truly loving or just a dictator. He has to finesse the solution ever so brilliantly to avoid the problem.

God did just wash his hands of all Satan's accusation - from the very start - But having chosen the finessed solution that preserves free will, he must also explain to those who will listen why it is that all this sin and evil in the world today "is not God's fault".

Find it in scripture and show us.

1Corinthians says it is only when we are in Heaven that we will have the capacity to judge the angels. Because then we will be higher than they are. As of now, we're lower than the angels. By God's will.
