Relationships are personal. I glean my information from the scriptures and my personal experience as a Christian in relationship with Jesus Christ. The phrase, To put on - enduo (G1746) en (G1722) means "in" duo (G1416) means "to sink into, go in or under, to put on". To put on as a garment, to cause to get into a garment, to cloth, to dress; spoken of armor in Romans 13:12; Ephesians 6:11, 14; 1 Thessalonians 5:8 If we are to put on, it is something we have to do and is not automatic. This is the reason why people do become oppressed as they did not put on the whole armor of God, not do they always wear it and ensure it is full of strength, which in found in Christ.
