It's faster and WAY easier on the thumbs.

How about "thump thumb"? LOL I think smartphone thumb is a good medical to the point name for it. Also there are a lot of people losing their hearing because of the loud music they are subjected to and the earbuds that people use to listen to music is very damaging. Google is listening for me all the time with my android phone. Apple has always been too expensive and incompatible with all my other hardware so I can't say much about Siri. I've never had Google ask me if I'm there on my Android tablet or phone . . . I have to hit the microphone icon first to turn on the voice bot. Then it'll get creepy. I'm not surprised more folks are having issues with "smart phone thumb" either. My fingers are too large for all that so I wind up either using the one finger method - or break out the Bluetooth keyboard and "text" properly! I got my wife an iPad so she could FaceTime with the kids and grandkids. I went with android mainly so it will interface with all our pc's. And it was less expensive. I personally don't like Apple products or their company.
