Er....Budman, what makes you think that the Antichrist will be:

A person born without a soul

The reason I am questioning this, is because it says somewhere in the Bible that the Antichrist is going to be thrown into the Lake of Fire.........

So...if the Antichrist has no soul.......how could that happen????????

a Clone is just the very same thing as a twin.

If you are born with a twin, and then they make a clone of you, there is no way to tell the difference....twins are like clones but are hear via a more natural system of reproduction...

I dont think we should form judgements against a person based only on the reproduction system used to bring them into the wrold....

A twin is natural and would not necessarily be the same thing as a clone. As you can have identical twins or Fraternal twins.

Natural reproduction is God led, can we say the same about cloning?

All I can truly say is Amen. For in truth it has been proven over and over again that scientists of today's society as well as historians have been looking for a way not only to blemish God's name, but also for ways to supposedly save lives.

Do people not realize what they are doing with the cloning process, or how many lives are actually sacrificed for the "good" of mankind? I appologize for ruffling any feathers, but at the same time facts are facts.

Well I said I was not going to post in this thread again, but since this is a direct question I will answer it.

Artificial insemination is not exactly natural reproduction but the fetus comes about in the same manner (Sperm fertilizes egg). For that reason I am not sure which side of the fence I would fall on with that one.

some people say that the reproduction of a clone is not "God's Idea because there is no meeting of sperm and egg...

But when you think about it, there actually is such a meeting.

Look at this like this.

I was born via the standard reproduction system of sperm meeting egg.

if I had a identical twin, whould you say that such a person is un-natural?

Would you say that my idintical twin was born counter to the will of God because there was no sperm and egg,,,because a twin is just a split cell that became two different people?

The point:

If I had a clone of myself made, the clone would actually be the same as my idintical twin,,,the life of the twin come still from the meeting of sperm and egg of my parents,,,the clone might be more"planned" than a twins birth,,but its just as much based on the natural meeting of sperm and egg as a twin is....

And yet one is directed by God and the other by man, So without God doing the creating we are merely playing god ourselves.

I think the "playing God" approach is the wrong angle to address this.

The LORD created us in His image, after all. He gave us His creative natirue - right?

The real issue here is the value of human life - the value of humanity.

What value does cloning place on humanity?

Even if a clone brought to development does have its own soul like everyone else - who is (s)he?

I've seen sci-fi shows where the issue of clones has been used as part of the plot. These shows always have a way of showing the horror side of cloning - anywhere from fullfy-formed malformities to psychological peril of the clone.

What are we doing to the clones? Do we see a clone of a human as a scientific toy? Less than human?

It was joked above that you'd call a clone a "freak" - well, isn't that the gut feeling of us all, if you think about it? Why? Because our spirits just know it is so wrong! We are devaluating humanity into - I don't know - something so wrong.

This, I see, is the real danger of cloning.
