Holy Spirit Baptism: yes.

Water Baptism: no.

Matthew 3:11 (AV)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: BUT he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Holy Spirit Baptism = saved.

 - OR -

Baptism of fire = judgment.

Water Baptism in the Old Covenant was a practice and sign of turning from the unclean to the clean .  Today it is an optional (highly traditional from the pile of good traditions) outward expression of an inward transformation.

Acts 10:44-48
44  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47  Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

No.  If baptism by water were necessary for salvation, then salvation would not be a free gift of God's grace through faith.  It would be a works based salvation.  Good works should follow after repentance as the Holy Spirit puts on our hearts to do, such as taking steps to making right the wrongs, baptism into water, or of reading the Bible.   For a child the first thing they might do is to obey their parents, as a pastor testified.   The most important thing is that we start walking in the Spirit as God leads us.  After God changes our hearts and our desires, our actions change as well.   The evidence of salvation should be the growing fruit of the Spirit--love, joy peace long-suffering kindness goodness faithfulness meekness and self-control.

One lady had started reading the Bible after her conversion.  She wanted to be baptized but had a colostomy so she could not be immersed.  One of the pastors sprinkled her before friends and family after church, even though this church taught immersion.

No. A water baptism is not required for salvation.

You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ who is Messiah who died for your sins on cross and by  his shed blood he paid the price for you to be redeemed .

Water Baptism is after you are saved ,it's testimony to people around you ( church ) that you acceptes Christ , and just like him you die ( go under water ) are burried ( the moment you are under water ) and you rose again ( when you come out of water ) .
