While I do have a retirement account, I've been pondering how increasing wealth has any effect in the "to increase for His kingdom" when His kingdom is not wealth?

For there are those who hunger now.

The way I see it is a broke Christian can't bless others in need.

The more wisely you shepherd the resources you have been entrusted

the more you can give. It's pretty straight forward.

We aren't taking anything with us, but investing in the Kingdom allows us to send it ahead, "building treasure in Heaven where moth and rust do not corrupt."

best wishes

Yep, because satans system is trying to milk every dime we have. Plus precious metals tend to hold value as the system lowers the purchasing power of the dollar.

The problem I see in metals is finding someone to buy them if the economy really goes down.

Consider the baht chain and its practical purpose, it isn't just a piece of jewelry.

Do any of you convert your unbacked Ferederal Reserve dollars to tangible assets such as gold, silver, platinum, etc?

`Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.` (Acts 3: 6)

You may be able to share a meal with a person and tell them of Jesus, or if a believer encourage them in the Lord.

That is true, there is a shop in my town that charges a little over the spot or you can send it to one of the gold companies like SD Boullion or KITCO.

No, baht chain.  There's a purpose behind them, and a purpose behind wearing one.
