WRONG .   pard we saved by grace alone.  ONLY we better keep heeding the HOLY SPIRIT , keep exhorting to do good , keep exhorting to do JESUS sayings in LOVE.

Let me explain to you this way. Paul said in (Rom. 3:23-25) (v.23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (v.24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (v.25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. So the bible tells you to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus. And by doing so you come up under his precious blood and then you are saved from your sins that are past, not present or future sins but for sins that are past. We were all locked under death by Adam’s sin, even the second death. But when Jesus became (he was God in the beginning) man and died for the sins of the world, he gave us access back to the tree of life (himself) which Adam had caused us to lose. That’s what grace is, our free gift our access back to the tree of life but that’s another lesson for another time. So by coming under the blood of Jesus you are saved from your past sins. And if you are saved now, it is on a day to day basis. Because all have sinned, and if you continue to live you will sin again. It is the willful sinning that you need to put in check.

But lets take a look and see what happen if one will not get baptized in the name of Jesus.  "And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15- 16).  Every soul that is baptized honors God and every soul that rejects baptism dishonors God. "And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him." (Luke 7:29-30). "For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, Ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5: 20). Anyone that is not baptized is a person with their sins yet upon them, because it is the baptism that washes away our past sins. "And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." (Acts 22:16)

No,  it did not happen at once.

No,  the disciples EXCLAIMED (at several points)  ---- HOW THEN can we (the disciples with Jesus, even the Apostles) BE SAVED ?

And Jesus told them what ?

"You can't"   if you trust yourselves to accomplish this.  If you think you already have it made, then you have already failed Jesus told them.

BUT,  if you completely trust by faith in your FATHER IN HEAVEN to accomplish your salvation (and everything concerned with salvation) now, today, in this life, and in the life to come,  

THEN you are already saved - it is already accomplished. 

As Jesus told them  another time (the Apostles and disciples) : "You are ALREADY in the KINGDOM, (now, today, as we speak ),

START LIVING LIKE IT."
