mine was when I was praying to get a car to fit my budget. in the end God provided someone to buy a $10000 car  for our family and I used my mother's precious one.

There was a time I lived with a relative but there was no heating in the room I stayed in.  So I needed to buy one of those small heaters but I had no money.  One Sunday morning I went to Church.  After the offering was taken an usher came up to me and handed me an envelope with my name on it.  In it was the exact amount I needed to buy the heater.  I still do not know who God used to make that provision.

What happened to all the chimneys and fireplaces and coal burners .... ?  

(remember Mary Poppins,  and also that 'orphan boy' ,  and ,  that little girl who got to see the queen,  whose dad had been injured in the war in another country, and she was put in a 'home' and then mistreated through the movie ..... ?)

It is amazing, isn't it? After all those chimneys, fireplaces and coal burners, London eventually saw the light!

Does it count as God's Surprise if it hasn't happened yet ?  

Like when the world wakes up one morning and most all the world no longer has electricity ?!

(it might take a little longer than an hour, or a day, or a week , or even a year,  to happen,  once it starts ....  .......  )

I believe that surprise comes after it has happened.  It is about what we did not expect to happen and then it happened. 

We can anticipate surprise such as the world plunged into darkness, but when it does happen some people who never expected it would be surprised.

Some may have seen what might happen and not really understood it.

Power cut: what happens? Switchboards jammed with calls to the electric co. Then phones quit.
Cell tower down: panic - terrible in outlying areas.
No gas at the pump: anarchy and violence.
Airport computer failure: thousands stranded.
Markets shut: computer failure. No food available.
Central Servers crash: no communication whatsoever.

Just one, I mean ONE EMP strike can do all this in a heartbeat.

So there are a few things the government says on its web sites to prepare for this. Everyone needs to be aware of this so as to not be caught napping. North Korea is presenting us with this possibility right now.
