Hey Darkest Red!  I like your post!  With women, for the most part, you can pretty much tell if they are craving attention with their choice of clothing and how they present themselves.  I feel this way anyway.  If me for an example am wearing a tube top revealing my stomach and I am some what how do I explain, acting like a you know what, sticking my chest out and acting ditzy then you can only imagine what I am striving for~attention.  This again is my opinion and it may not be agreeable to others.  I present myself with respect and confidence.  That is how I can try and feel a woman out.  Does this make sense?  It is very hard to explain it! :emot-hug:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Thank you!

Yeah, that makes total sense (to me, anyway, who knows about anyone else!!). I have never dressed for attention and I never will. I have dignity and self respect and I do not need attention from a male to feel a sense of worth. If I wear a short skirt then it is because I want too, not because I think it will get me attention from anyone else. I like wearing skirts and I have been told numerous times that I have great legs but do I wear them to get a reaction? No. Do I like the compliment? Yes but only if it is not some guy lusting over me. As has been said, there is a difference between appreciating someone looking good and lusting over them.

As I said, I do not need attention from men to feel a sense of worth.

You know I am starting to feel like this entire thread is aimed at men being the "naughty" ones. Women have issues with lust too! You know, you could be standing there talking to a guy for an example wearing a spring dress and he seems to be very polite and well mannered until, he goes to his friends and cat calls you to them. Hmm....it isn't a perfect world is it? :emot-hug:

It is very strange to say but I lust after my husband every single day. Sometimes when we are getting ready to go out somewhere like shopping or for a drive, he looks amazing all the time and I sometimes say "you know honey, you are looking too good so maybe you should put a jacket on or something." I know it is silly but I like when women check him out to appreciate his good looks but I hate when they gauk at him like he is a single guy or a peice of meat. He just looks at me like "yeah okay." He is one that never dresses to get attention. He is a body builder so whatever he wears, his muscles just shine through.

You know what I mean huh Bro Dave?

I'm wondering why it is always the way women dress that is attacked. As if men are the only ones who get 'evil thoughts' by looking at someone of the opposite sex who is dressed less than decent. I (as a woman) can guarantee that is not true...

Besides, the idea that women should cover themselves (completely or to a degree) so men don't get tempted sounds somewhat medieval to me. It's is for the same reason that muslim women should wear a veil. I don't get that either. Temptation is everywhere and for everyone. It is up to you to resist! Looking at a half naked woman is neither a reason nor an excuse for sinning... And since you can find them everywhere nowadays, you might as well use it as practise in resisting temptation. Otherwise the nude on tv and on the streets is just useless and annoying

Don't get me wrong, I don't think you should go into you neighborhood in bikini, but that's more a matter of taste to me.

greetings, Mix

Hey Mix,

I agree with you and in fact I have stated in soem of my replies about women with lust for men or women in that matter. Temptation is everywhere and we need to resist it! Welcome! :emot-hug:

Constant, TY for realizing what a lot of people don't. As I said before, I've been faithful to my wife and even once had a co-worker invite me home with her, but because I know that to be wrong, I would not do that. It's not been the same though on the flipside of the coin-she's cheated on me once I know by admission and I can think of two or three other times that look really suspicious. We men get labeled as cheaters, but 99% of the time it takes a woman for a man to cheat unless he is homosexual and so many people overlook that-it's not like he held a gun to the woman's head for her to do it. Thanks for some sage wisdom Constant!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
