Bible Reading

Just wondering if many have read the entire Bible? I use the read through the Bible in a year plans that jump around the books instead of reading straight through. You have to watch it if you're doing a reading plan because sometimes all you'll think about is getting your reading done for the day and won't take time with the word, try to listen for God speaking etc. It can become mechanical. It can help you stay in the Word though.

I have a georgous leather NIV Bible sitting on my coffee table that my mom got for me as a CHristmas gift. I read through it when the urge hits me. But no I haven't read the entire thing.

Pretty close! lol im about 90% there lol i nedd to read ester and alittle more probvers, and alittle places other where and then i can say i read it LOL

Those Old Testament books CAN be killers!! That's why I use the read through the Bible plans that jump around. The more I read it, the more I get out of these old books and the entire thing.

Yes, several times. However, I have read through the old testament more times than the new.

My problem is that I get sidetracked while reading. One chapter will call to mind something somewhere else, and I'll flip over there and read, and that'll cause me to flip over to somewhere else, etc.

...Which is exactly why I've considered having read the Bible a lot more times than I have "read the Bible."

Ok, i have not read thorugh the eniter bible but i am working on it. I must have read Genesis 20 times(literally) before i actually got ot Exodus adn Numbers which i have read a few time over. (i tried reading the bible thorugh many times). The Lord has been getting ahol dof my hear this year to read the bible through. Through messgaes preached, i have learned ot read the bible first thign in the morning AFTER I ASK GOD TO HELP ME UNDERSTADN IT! Now i am in 1Sam and i have had problems with reading a passge because it is on the plan

I sincerely DONOT advise this, but, i tend to get behind on the plan. Right now, i am 7 days behind, and for me, it keeps me on track with reading my bible. In the moring, i read three verses of the old testament(i have read thorugh prverbs and working on psalms) and three verses from the new testament(i have red matthew, romans, and working on Mark). Then, i read the "bible thoruhg in one year" at night before bed. THere has to be morning and evening devotions.

What needs to be done to read the bible throught is trust in the Lord and a strong desire AND will to learn God's will for your life and whatever he wants for you to learn in his word.

It took about 6 years for me to start reading me bible, now i don't want to put the thing down.

I have read thru the bible entirely, the begats were brutal.

I have also read the Torah and the koran.
