Christ then quotes Psalm 82:6

They just accused Christ of being God and Christ scriptural rebuke is scripture says you are judges.....?????

By the way, I never stated Christ received a new body. There was certainly a change to the body, corruptible to incorruptible.

No, you don't correct me.  Every post of yours is just one more example of heresy and why I must make sure that you have no influence here and that true Christians will marginalize, and reject your perversions.

That has nothing to do with Christians.  But something to point out here, that I find interesting:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.(Joh 10:27-33)

They recognized Jesus' claim to deity.  Only God can give eternal life.   When Jesus stated that He could impart eternal life, and claimed to be one with God, they accused Him of blasphemy for claiming to be God.  This flies in the face of your claims that Jesus never said He was God.

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, (Joh 10:34-39)

Jesus quoted from Psalm 82:6 where God had condemned the leadership of ancient Israel calling them ‘gods’ as a pejorative (put down). They, as the representatives of God, had abused their position and God in Psalm 82 took them to task.

So, Jesus now applied this condemnation to the rabbis around Him. His logic was powerful in answering the charge of  blasphemy.  His point was,  ‘If God called them gods, are you therefore saying, He whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world blasphemes because He said, “I am the Son of God  If I don’t do the works of my Father, don’t believe me.  But if I do His works, even though you don’t believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in Him.’

So this was a defense of Jesus' deity.   It was not Jesus calling Christians, "gods."   We are not gods, the Bible doesn't say we are gods.  We are regenerate sinners.

No, they accused him of claiming to be God; and He did not tell them they were wrong.   He did not correct their assessment of His claim.

No, I said that the word "elohim" in Hebrew can refer to judges/human magistrates.  And that is who it referred to in Psalm 82: 6.  God was referring to those leaders who were supposed to be His representatives before the people.

Actually, Satan told four lies in the garden.

doesnt help your self appointed agenda when Satan told ONE lie

None of those passages indicate that we are going to be co-rulers of the universe with Jesus.

Rejecting our inheritance of scripture stating we are co rulers in EVERYTHING with Christ , that means the entire universe doesnt help your case.

You are trying to make a one-to-one comparison and that is not how it works

Rejecting Familyship, when we find teachings by Christ that God desires LOVE that can only be described in a one -to - one correlation, because God wishes to interact with us not only objectively but subjectively being personal and LOVE us in a one -to one correlation as a family, God is not our friend, God is not some detached entity. It does not help your case when you present a static God, who is estranged in action of familyhood, when scriptures CLEARLY, not only stating but using concepts throughout to teach an expanding God desiring children, a family taking on His very NATURE.

The problem is that as a title, firstborn is a rank that can apply and is applied to those who were not first born.

rejecting the continual pattern of sonship and resurrection being similarly connected throughout scripture does not help your case in interpretation of Paul

Participation in the divine nature is not participation in Deity/divinity

Thats exactly what it states, It does not state we are pedestrians of the divine nature

That has nothing to do with Christians.

has nothing to do with christians? So we not sons of the Most High?

Quote

They recognized Jesus' claim to deity.  Only God can give eternal life.

which is qualified by the phrase: How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God?

Christ was not only quoting Psalm 82:6, "You are gods but when he stated Son of God he was quoting the rest of the verse And all of you are sons of the Most High. (sons of God)

Son of God = Deity and Christ is quoting sons of the Most High, logic dictates that Christ is interpreting deity in Pslams 82:6

Let me remind you

John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

John 5:30    By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

Partaker of the divine nature -  Christ CAN NOT do anything without the direct will of the Father, subject to the father.

If Christ wills upon himself to do his ( Christ) own will, Christ then becomes satan

"But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' Isaiah 14:13&14

Satans fall was based on his own will to be the nature of God

...............................................................................................................................................

So, lets give an example of participate in the divine nature: Peter walking on water.

Christ could only walk on water by the will of the Father:- the divinity of Christ, but so did Peter! Implying Peter’s sharing in Christs divinity, co sharers

Romans 8:17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

We share in Christs divinity, we do not bring about our own divinity by our own will ( Satan does that), we share in the divinity of Christ, making us deity by the will of the Father through Christ.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.

God does not object to us becoming like gods/deity, it is how we went about it, is what caused the fall.

God made us in HIS IMAGE, we are already participating in the divine nature as we are made to look like God, what we are learning now, is how to ACT like God and to be LIKE God through Christ, then we receive CO SHARING rights of deity, that is why Christ is not ashamed to call us brothers Heb 2:11

No, you are trying to cast the Father/Son relationship between the Father and Jesus as a paternal relationship.   But Jesus is not the offspring of the Father.   Jesus always existed, so you cannot make a one-to-one comparison between as if Father and Jesus relate to each other just like earthly father and sons relate.

Jesus always existed as God in the eternal past, so that paternal relationship just doesn't pan out.  If you knew God, you would understand this.

Sorry, but my position is right and you are wrong.   I have sourced my comments many times from men who are far more intelligent and competent than you are, and they know what they are talking about.   I will listen to anointed teachers and not your satanic doctrines.

Intelligent, thinking people understand the difference between the divine nature and the divine essence.   God is essentially divine.  That's what makes Him God.   Participating in the divine nature is not a participation in the essential divine being of God.   We do not not become gods.   The divine nature has to do with communicable attributes.   Divinity or deity has to do with the incommunicable attributes like  omniscience  and omnipotence and omnipresence.

Incommunicable means that those are attributes that are unique to God alone, and we do not and never will share in those attributes.  Communicable attributes are those things we are able to have in common with God, albeit imperfectly.

In the that context it is not talking about Christians.

But even if it were, it would not include an unregenerate hell-bound sinner like you.   You are not one of us and at this rate, you will never be.  Your future is destruction.

Son of God = Deity and Christ is quoting sons of the Most High, logic dictates that Christ is interpreting deity in Pslams 82:6

John is very careful to use the term, "Son of God" in a unique way in the Greek so that it only applies to Jesus.  I am "a" son (child) of God.   But in John, Jesus is THE Son of God.    It is a usage that denotes Jesus as essentially God.   "Son of"  isn't less than the Father in terms of deity.   It means that Jesus is God.

The "sons of the Most High"  is not used to denote deity in Pslam 82:6.   It is used to denote legislative authority.  Those magistrates were to govern in the wisdom of God has His representatives, but God condemns them for failing to the representatives they were supposed to be (if you bother to read the entire Psalm).    You are trying to pencil something into the text that is not intended by the author.

John 5:30    By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

That was true of Jesus in His humanity, not His deity.   As God He is co-equal and co-eternal.   Jesus voluntarily took on humanity and made Himself obedient.   His submission to the Father during His earthly ministry was a willing thing.   Prior to His birth, that was not the case.

Quote

Partaker of the divine nature -  Christ CAN NOT do anything without the direct will of the Father, subject to the father.

Jesus is not a "partaker" of the Divine nature.  Jesus IS the divine nature; Jesus is God. He is God in both nature and being.

We share in Christs divinity,

No, we don't.

So, lets give an example of participate in the divine nature: Peter walking on water.

No, that is not an example of it.  You don't know what you're talking about.   This kind of garbage only highlights why no one should accept anything from a know-nothing like you.   Totally incompetent.

I dont see ANYWHERE in scripture  satan said the following

“If God is not gracious, then you’d better become your own god and take care of yourself. Have your own way

Satan stated ONE lie

You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman.

Out of the one lie we can insert a number of meanings to the lie to its broader implications, but he only stated ONE lie.

Nothing in the Bible says that our inheritance is to rule the universe and become gods.   That is just your satan-inspired heresy

No that is called scripture

Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory (deity)

......

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature

Co- Share in the divine nature(deity/glory)

Never states we are pedestrians to deity.

Sorry, but my position is right and you are wrong.   I have sourced my comments many times from men who are far more intelligent and competent than you are, and they know what they are talking about.   I will listen to anointed teachers and not your satanic doctrines

"Im wrong and youre right" are for 6 year olds....I would suggest you go back to your teachers and ask them for a scriptural rebuttal on the following....

Why the continual pattern of sonship and resurrection being similarly connected throughout scripture.

Intelligent, thinking people understand the difference between the divine nature and the divine essence

Intelligent people would know im not equating to Gods essence

To have the divine nature is one thing, but to be God Himself is another. I made this very clear to you....this goes back to definitions to which I explained it to you....which you claim was skirting round the issue, clarification is not skirting.....

You are grappling to understand nature and person.....

John is very careful to use the term, "Son of God" in a unique way in the Greek so that it only applies to Jesus.  I am "a" son (child) of God.   But in John, Jesus is THE Son of God.    It is a usage that denotes Jesus as essentially God

Nope Christ was directly quoting all of this I say, 'You are gods; you are all children (Son of God/sons of God) of the Most High

No, that is not an example of it.  You don't know what you're talking about.   This kind of garbage only highlights why no one should accept anything from a know-nothing like you.   Totally incompetent

Thats a delusional opinion not a scriptural rebuttal.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
