Wwatch, I hope you will forgive me for sticking my two cents in on that.

I am often accused of being overly simplistic and am guilty as charged. But it seems to me that there are no "degrees" of this - anyone who teaches false things not of the Spirit and/or brings shame and ridicule on the name of our Saviour is working for the enemy. The only thing I am unclear on is that some would say it is intentional, I am not so sure of that. Maybe it is my trusting nature, but I wonder if some of them don't realize they are working for the enemy? Of course, that doesn't change the fact that they are.

wwatch. Firstly. if you read my first post carefully you will notice that I never mentioned any names. And why would I, I have never even heard of Bob Larson. I was just generalising. After reading all of the posts regarding the man and his ministry, there seem to be some doubt as to his crebibility as a preacher. I have heard on radio and television many men, mostly American, to have impressed me, until, through various channels I have checked them out and found that most of them are commercially motivated and have relieved a lot of lovely christian people of their hard earned cash and have caused in some cases people to lose their faith in the word. After reading these posts I have to say that Bob Larson's style is one the sits him apart for all the others.  I am thinking about going to see him the end of this month as he will be in the Orlando area.  I've read many of his books and frankly, he lines up with what many have said as they themselves deal in this area of ministry.  My thoughts are that he is human, and not perfect however, God is using him.  This fact says alot.  I encourage anyone who does not know about deliverance ministry to research it, read books written by respectable authors and ministers who deal in this area.  Then only will you have a understanding of how hard it is.  The person called to do it has to be lined up correctly with God.  The Holy spirit can not work thru those with sin, especially if its unconfessed.

Now, I do agree with many about Bob's petition for money.  This bothers me.  I look at Billy Grahm, during his services he never petitioned as Bob does.  So that question I just give to God to answer.  I on the other hand, will keep an open mind as God continues to give me understanding in this area.

Roc1, I agree completely that we should read books by respectable, God-fearing authors concerning this issue.  Of course, our first and final source should be the Holy Bible.  One great book that deals with this and similar issues from an exegetical standpoint is Charismatic Chaos, by John MacArthur.  Check it out.  I'm sure you'll have an opinion about it one way or another.

Thanks for the book info, I thought I had bought all the great books and it seems there is still one more. :-)  I'll look for it.

I write this message after Easter.  All day yesterday I spent in study and praise for our Lord.  It's time.  We need to be equipting ourselves against Satan and his armies.  I watched the movie Jesus of Nazareth.  If anyone hasn't seen it then please do, its that good.  The crucifiction in the movie is nothing like what our Lord suffered for us.  God the Father allowed the foces of #### to come against His Son.  Jesus was beaten beyond recognition.  He had lost so much blood prior to the cross that He could barely walk, that is why he couldn't carry his beam.  What Jesus endured going to the cross, then once there, only shows the extent of Gods love for us.   God gave us His Life.  Now, He gives us His Spirit.  Let us all line our lives up so we can help those around us who satan has in bondage.  God wants us to love others as He loved us.   It's time.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
