Going back to Romans, if you care to actually study the bible, you will notice the context of 'faith comes by hearing' is the actual Gospel by which a person is saved...

Besides Rom 10:17 is speaking of the Word (Gospel) preached, not some sort of 'prophetic' utterance that false NAR Churches like Bethel give out.

Like many Fundamentalists, you pontificate from ignorance by slurring books you have never even read.   "Christianity Today" is a bastion of evangelical orthodoxy and they rated "A Celebration of Discipline" one of the top 10 books of the 20th century!  What you don't get is that there can be no spiritual growth without attention to spiritual disciplines.  The book has insightful chapters on the disciplines of prayer, biblical  meditation, fasting, silence (listening for the voice of God), submission, service, and  worship; and these are solidly biblical themes about spiritual growth.

So judgmental without examining his books!   There is a consensus among NT scholars that Paul's theology is thoroughly immersed in mysticism.  Foster eloquently reflects on the practical implications of how our life can be joyfully connected to God in so many richly rewarding ways that promote spiritual growth.  And unlike most evangelicals, he recognizes that we need to learn not just from Scripture, but also from the church fathers and monastics who devote their whole lives to prayer and disciplines hat help establish a deeper connection with God.

The deception is abounding .     I mean they can say crystal clear truths about HOW we receive faith ,  YET with the same mouth breath words like BIBLORATY .

ITS like a whole other spirit is at work .  FOR IT says truths , BUT POINTS TO A DIFFERENT AUTHOR of said truth .  WHICH that author ,   What was JESUS said about HIM .

OH ,   HE is the Father of lies and no truth is in him .   THEY say truths , but they are not truths , for they show ANOTHER JESUS and offer New age prayers .

ITS like this .      Satan himself told man NAY you shall NOT DIE ,   FOR GOD does know that in the day ye eat thereof ye shall become as gods .

SATAN brought truths taken out of text and his lie .   FOR EVEN GOD said man has become as us knowing good and evil .   YET satan had said YE shall not die .

SATANS minsitris work the same way . Pastors will say truths like HOW we receive  FAITH ,  BUT THE WHOLE TIME they pointing to ANOTHER JESUS , And new age prayers .
