Im posting this question, so that we can all think about this for a bit. A little spiritual exercise. Im looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say on this subject.

What cure is there for someone living under a cloud of spiritual doubt? Scriptural references appreciated too.

(Just fyi, I do not doubt the Lord. lol, dont want anyone to think otherwise.)

Your question is vague.

If you say you believe yet doubt, you do not believe.

If you say you have faith and doubt, you do not have faith.

If you doubt your salvation, you do not know God.

As for a cure, I don't know. You can't make people believe. You can't say to someone, "here, read this and you'll have no more doubts". It doesn't work that way. Doubting comes from the heart and you or I can not change that. All we can do is point them in the right direction. The rest is up to them.

There is no room for doubt in a believer's life. If you doubt, then the fear of the Lord is not in you. If you do not fear the Lord, you will never understand.

As for scripture ref...Gen. 1:1 thru Rev. 22:21.

Hope this helped.

Well to me spiritual doubt can also be a lack of trust...you know the "human" affliction of thinking we can fix everything ourselves. Or on the other hand for example...When I was little I always believed in God...didn't even think about it really just took it for truth (mind you I hadn't accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior yet) After I accepted Him then I started to have "doubts" Praise the Lord I prayed everytime a "smidgen on doubt" came into my head. This is what I heard once...Satan doesn't bother you with doubts if your already lost (which I was before salvation) its when you accept Christ that he feels hes gotta get you back.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor 5:7

He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Spiritual doubt (in my case) disappeared through hearing and hearing, the word of God...or reading and reading the word of God, also praying for God to remove doubts and replace it with trust.

Hope I didn't misunderstand your question :blink::o

Love and Blessings,

Angel

We must remember though, that even when Jesus' apostle stepped out of the boat to meet Him on the water, he started to doubt and sank in the water...Jesus pulled him up, and spoke of "ye with little faith"....

we all start to sink at onetime or another but its good to know that He will pull us back up, all we need to do is call Him.

There are times when Istruggle with doubt. My wife tells me to get into the word. I find that I can usually bring myself back around with a basic belief. Fortunately I have always believed there was a God. Can or Does God want to communicate with His creation? I believe he can/does. Is He powerful enough to become a man? He made the universe didn't He? Does the teachings of Jesus make sense? Love, yes that makes sense. What are your options? No options.

Thank you Jesus

The cure is the TRUTH! When I begin to doubt anything God has said to me, I have to first of all recognize where that is coming from. Satan is the author of lies. He wants us to doubt. So, I do what Jesus did. I rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. I tell him to leave. And, I quote scripture back to him - the truth versus his lies. So, I need to know what the truth is and I need to know when I am believing the lies, which means I need to spend lots of time in prayer and in God's word. Then, when doubt comes, I can go back to God's word and read all of his wonderful promises and it helps to read them aloud. I can resist Satan and his lies and I can put on the truth of God found in his Word. This is the only cure I know for doubt.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
