I don't see it. Seems to me people who worked the land celebrated their harvest time and didn't celebrate death , ghosts and witchcraft.

Ok, folks seem to think the harvet festival I referred to is something nice like that. In my area, alternative halloween stuff at churches are called harvest festivals, but they are essentially halloween parties with costumes (not dark stuff), candy etc. It has nothing to do with celebrating the harvest. It is just what they call it. But it is just a halloween party in a nice unhalloween name.

Also people, the topic is Halloween, not whether or not you agree with reformed doctrine.

Yes, getting the graves all cleaned up and a spectacular lighting up of the cemeteries where families gather to say prayers I guess and do whatever they do.

Kind of sounds like Memorial Day we do here. I am not trying to argue or anything. But on Memorial Day, we always visit the grave sites of love ones,  place flowers and decorations on the gave.  I suppose some people might talk to the grave. I don't but I am sure that others do on this day. Anyway, like I said. Not trying to argue. It just sounds very similar to what we do on Memorial Day.

I am a sinner saved by Grace (Grace is unmerited favor) because Grace is unmerited favor, that means NO human can earn it as the Romanite cult teaches.

That is nice, to provide alternatives, but I do not like surrendering words and ideas. The rainbow is a sign of God's covenant, not sexual perversion or racial harmony. Gay is happy, not homosexual, liberal has to do with freedom, not weird political ideas.

I would rather have Halloween (all saints evening), that let the darkness or even the world steal it.

1Co 6:9  Or do you not know that the unrighteousN1 will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: R24neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,N2
1Co 6:10  nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Well over all. I am fine  with Christians  who do not want to partake in Halloween and think that it is evil. I am also fine with Christians who think it is simply fun and all about the candy. I do not tell either group what they should do.  I just know what I should do. As Romens 14:1 says:Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.   Clearly this is a disputable matter.

Romens 14:2-4 goes on to say: One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.  The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.  Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

So that is how I view the topic of Halloween.
