I have met people who seemingly have not a speck of good in them.

These guys had so much hate in their eyes you could tell there was no room for love. People with so much pride that there was no room for God. Evil incarnate. No redeeming qualities what so ever. Is it possible that as there are the predestined for salvation, there are also those designed to be a container for evil?

I'm going to borrow some one elses homework for a sec :noidea:

God WILLS that all mankind be SAVED (I Tim.2:4). But will God's will be done?

Thy WILL BE DONE... (Mat. 6:10).

God IS LOVE (I John 4:8). But will God's love fail to save all humanity?

LOVE NEVER FAILS (I Cor. 13:10).

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Is it not possible that evil and wickedness is the chaff and what is left belongs to God? Evil is separate from good.

It disturbs me that there are those here that think pets should go to Heaven and yet they are offended by the lost being found through the awesome and perfect power of God. Grace is only for a select few who God favoured enough to predestine their place in Heaven. What was the secret that Jesus told John in Revelation? Is mans prejudice stronger than the will of God that desires salvation for all?

I for one will pray for the lost and rejoice in the "good news" that Jesus died for us all. :noidea:

It sounds like you are talking about the false doctrine of universalism which teaches that God will save EVERYONE, which is NOT what the Bible teaches. The bible says that there is only one to God and that is through Christ. God will not save everyone. Jesus said Matthew 7:13-14

"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. [14] "For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.

God will not save everyone. Everyone must make a decision on THIS side of the grave. That decision will forever determine their eternal destiny. After death, there is no more chance of salvation for the lost.

As for those who have not heard, God will deal with them according to His wisdom and justice.

20 Why by their fruits you shall know them.

21 Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. :emot-hug:

Excellent question.

What is our relationship with the Lord?

When we are saved, we have the Holy Spirit sealing us until the day of redemption. A guarantor of our salvation.

Still tho, we need to grow in our walks with the Lord. You and me both Gerioke. Not one of us is in a position where we cant continue to grow in our walks with the Lord.

Those people whom the Lord never knew? How were their hearts for the Lord? Weere they into their works, rather than the saving knowledge of Jesus? I admit that passage too has troubled me. Yet I have the Holy Spirit in me. I know the Lord.

A commentary I have says this:

This proves that, with all their pretensions, they had never been true followers of Christ. Jesus will not then say to false prophets and false professors of religion that he had once known them and then rejected them; that they had been once Christians and then had fallen away; that they had been pardoned and then had apostatized but that he had never known them - they had never been true christians. Whatever might have been their pretended joys, their raptures, their hopes, their self-confidence, their visions, their zeal, they had never been regarded by the Saviour as his true friends.

Ok, end rambling, I hope this helps.

Matthew 5

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

I see a lot of pride and hatred from a lot of christians

Matthew 16

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Revelation 20

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

If they are judged according to their works, does that mean there is a hierarchy in heaven for the saints? Or a hierarchy in hell for the lost?

Can you tell I'm becoming very discouraged? There is scripture that states Jesus died for everyone and there is scripture that says a lot of people are going to suffer eternal damnation.

Why are so many "christians" determined to accept the latter? What is so hard about accepting the fact that God's power is uncomprehendable by our feeble minds. :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
