I know I am going to cause controversy with these question that I am about to ask. That is not my intention. Does anyone else realize that this statement was addressed to Israelites and not the nations of the world at that time? Also, does anyone else beside see that this verse is applicable to Christians also? This verse clearly, from God, lays blame at his people (Yahwists/Jews pre-Christ, Christians post-resurrection) for the problems of a nation any time they are there en masse.
