She died 2 months ago. I was thinking about this when the Lord gently nudged my heart. He brought the following scriptures and song to mind. Then He prompted me to share this with my Worthy family. Apparently, there is someone out there who is meant to hear it. So I hope it will minister to any in need of this message. God says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2) Through It All (lyrics by Andrae Crouch) I've had many tears and sorrows, I've had questions for tomorrow, there's been times I didn't know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation, that my trials come to only make me strong. Chorus: Through it all, through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God Through it all, through it all, I've learned to depend upon His Word. Verse 2: I've been to lots of places, I've seen a lot of faces, there's been times I felt so all alone. But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours, Jesus lets me know that I was His own! Chorus Verse 3: I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms He brought me through. For if I'd never had a problem, I wouldn't know that he could solve them, I'd never know what faith in God could do. 3 1 3

I'm missing my mom also, and it's been three years now. It doesn't seem all that long ago, and I guess she's been on my mind a lot lately. The song by Andrae Crouch was a nice reminder, as Mom and I attended a concert that Andre Crouch and the Disciples had performed in our city. He'd just recently composed it, so it's nice that you brought it up. It was one of many experiences we'd enjoyed together. God bless you, dear sister. Every waitress or church door greeter saying with kind intention Happy Mother's day. Our pastor who adopted two children after he and his wife had trouble having children, and then had a successful birthing too, took some time to be very kind to all the ladies, mentioning that some do not have such an easy time this day, as they have had losses of a child, or miscarriages, or are unable to have children. He did that very well. I will not try to repeat his really kind presentation, but I do appreciate that he did recognize and acknowledge the bit of sadness that the day may bring to some. 1 1

But I'm grateful the two of you were able to reconcile before her passing. The Lord is truly merciful. He is the God of the second chances. His timing is perfect.

Shalom, David/BeauJangles @BeauJangles You're welcome, brother. I'm happy my post brought such special memories to your mind... What a blessing to be able to share an Andrae Crouch concert with your mom! I'll never forget my dad and I going to Keith Green's together... God's presence was so powerful there! Missing our moms is a natural fact of life, I guess. It just goes to show how love never dies. 1
