Jesus said, "I am the Way..."

Jesus often used parables, that when examined side by side seem contradictory. He said that He is the gate and also the gatekeeper.  He is the shepherd and also the lamb. He is the sacrificed lamb yet also the priest.

A friend of mine once shared with me this thought, "Jesus did NOT say , 'I teach the way, or I show the way; He said, 'I am the Way' ".  Yes, He does also teach and show us the way. But what does He mean by, "I am the Way"?

Does He mean that if we believe and confess in Him we can get to the Father? Yes.

But, I believe He also means something far more intense and mystical.  We must unite ourselves totally with Him, and through Jesus, in a very real way, come to the Father.

There is something here that feels like it's just beyond my grasp.

Any thoughts????

May the peace of Christ be with you all. I miss fellowshipping with you.

Dear Fiosh,

I truly believe that Jesus died for my sins, and that he gives me the strength everyday to go through the day. He guides me with such love and care, that I feel guilty excepting it.

I do see what you mean about the many things that Jesus says that he is, I also have one too. I was taught that God is three "things" Father, Son & Holy Ghost. This can be very mind bending if you sit and think about them. I often thought how could God be everywhere and with everyone. I finally came to the conclusion that he just is. Plain and simple, he just is. I go to bed each day( I work nights) knowing that he is with me and that he loves me.

My faith has become stronger as I have gotten older, I sometimes doubt myself and his power, but then at that instance, I feel his love and forgivness for me. I feel it, as Mercyme says, "In the blink of an eye"

Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, that is the bottom line for me.

May our Lord Jesus bless and keep you safe. This I pray!!!!!!!!!! Michael

Fiosh,

Yes there is much more to it. It is the 'Mystery of Godliness,

CHRIST IN YOU, THE ONLY HOPE OF GLORY

The true Gospel is Christ in you, the hope of Glory, the hope of heaven. When one is really born again, Jesus, the 'Promised Seed', the 'Precious Pearl', the 'Gift of God' comes to personally live and dwell in the heart of the believer through the Spirit, to lead him or her into all righteousness, all the will of God. This is not just some nice thought or general doctrine, but a living reality to those indwelt by the Holy Spirit. The believer has given up all right to his life and lives only to please God. If this is not the case, then the 'believer' is such in name only and not a true child of God.

COL 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

The 'Real Christian' is the 'Living Temple', Sanctuary or dwelling place of God. God personally dwells in him/her through the Spirit of Holiness and leads and guides into all righteousness. There is personal communion between Jesus and the believer. Jesus will never leave the believing, obedient soul. He leads from within for the kingdom of God must be within you.

1COR 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

2COR 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you except you be reprobates?

JOHN 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live (in you), ye shall live also.

14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (in him).....................

14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode (home) with him.

14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
