Well, one simple and obvious way is to be COMPLETELY FAITHFUL to her. I guess that is honoring to her to know that she truly is THE ONLY CHOSEN ONE FOR ME!

Of course, it also honors the Lord by obeying God’s 9th commandment....I guess. Although I don’t think some of these later commandments (5-10) were meant for God’s benefit.....I think they are mostly for our benefit.

PS  I just asked my wife if she feels honored that I have been completely faithful to her and she said, “Of course!”

So there ya go!

Being faithful to your spouse is very, very important.

Smearing cake on each others faces in my opinion is not a way to start your marriage. But maybe I am a spoiled sport.

1. Love your spouse like Christ loves the Church. You recognize that your spouse was created by God as is therefore worthy and valuable.

2. Allow God to have control of your marriage 100%.

3. Understand that you have a lifetime commitment before God. You marriage is an investment before God. Keep your vows.

4. Spend enjoyable time together. Make "date nights" with your spouse.

5. Keep your communication open at all times.

6. Trust your spouse. If that trust is broken it is a very serious offense.

7. Be individuals. If the husband wants to have a night out with the guys occasionally that is good. Likewise for the wife to have a " girls night out".

8. Become best friends.

9. Pray together and read devotionals together.

10. Feel safe and secure with each other.

11. There are other ways to keep your marriage healthy in an intimate way but not appropriate to share on Worthy.

If you have her putting shingles on the roof, don’t grumble if you have to hand the water hose up to her...

Once I got my wife a power saw for her birthday.....  seriously, it's what she wanted.    Last week, we were helping our neighbor with his deck.  My wife got a big thrill out of using a nail gun for the first time.  She had a big grin on her face.

What are some ways a true and born again Christian couple can honor each other?

Don't speak badly of each other behind each other's backs without good cause.

Don't tell your spouse if you fart. Blame the egg.

Thank You Miss Muffy.  No guys mentioned praying together.  Hubby and I had conversational prayer every night.  He led. He usually prayed for the safety of our family and any particular needs I had,  I usually prayed for sickness aches and pains and salvation.  Then we prayed for friends.  I perhaps miss this the most of our relationship.  Of course, having his help in caring for the place and repairing stuff are things I also miss. as well as our rides together and going bird watching.  We loved exploring dirt roads, logging roads and forrest service roads in the mountains.  The peace, coolness, and haunting call of the Swainson's Thrush.  And an occasional bear or herd of elk or deer.  That lone Bambi investigating a noisy flying insect.  Such precious moments we shared.
