Revelation 3:14-17

"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm

Mike, all you have done is sated your own conscience. God has not told you that it is OK for you to carry on a romantic relationship with another man. That exists only in your imagination. You have justified it to yourself, and you are the one twisting God's Word around.

Furthermore, you work from an inherent contradiction. You have already stated in another post that the Bible is just a book written by mortal men based upon their interpretation of God.

Yet you appeal to the Bible's teaching about the love of God. You have implied that you do not need to heed the commandments about a man lying with another man, since the Bible has no Divine authority. Well if that is so, and that is what you really believe, then you cannot appeal to the Bible or any Divine authority for your right to be gay. You cannot claim that God says its OK, since everything you think about God to be true, you try to base on a book you that, according to your implication fails as a reliable moral code, and revelation of the Will of God. You cannot claim to be a Christian either, since the heart of Christianity is the Divine inspiration and the inerrant nature of Scripture. A true Christian believes the Bible is true from cover to cover. Any deficiency of understanding lies with us, and not with the Bible.

If you were a Christian, then you would have the Holy Spirit living within you, and He would have convicted you about the sinfulness of Homosexuality.

You are trying to have it both ways. The truth is, you are gay, and you have allowed the enemy (satan) to con you into thinking that homosexuality is OK.

It is not to late for you turn from this wickedness. You need to allow God, through the power of His Holy Spirit to deliver you from this. But first, you must repent of your sin and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you want to know how, let me know, but the decision is yours to make.

You can have Jesus, or you can homosexuality; you cannot have both.

Mike,

God Bless you. Go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to carry on this conversation.

One thing to think about is this statement you just made;

where to draw the line is a big question - and i suppose i dont have an answer to that, except when it feels wrong in your heart then its wrong from God

God's Word repeatedly states that all mens hearts are desperately wicked. Matter of fact our imaginations constantly think up new ways to sin. The Lord stated that,"out of our hearts flow the words of the mouth."(paraphrase) In other words the way we speak has alot to do with the imaginations of our minds and hearts.

I don't know; considering the subject matter I thought everybody was trying to be as nice as possible.

Mike -

Why do you care what we think?

Yes, it is true that "nothing can separate you from the love of God.

That doesn't give you a liscence to determine for yourself what is good and what is evil.

Tell me, what Scripture can you give to justify your position?

morning everyoen, i slept very well thanks

ok, scripture

first off (i probably should have said this earlyer) im not actualy in a relationship at the moment - i have been in them, but that was before i was christian - im working these out with God : im still working through the issue of where to draw the line - only when im comfortable with where that is will i start concidering entering into any form of relationship

but, the question i find myself asking is "should i sacrifice human relationships for God"

this is most probably a yes, but the main word is sacrifice, to be celebate is to give up intimate relationships (or in other words, sacrifice them for love of God)

but then i get to Proverbs 21:2, which says

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the heart"

so yes, what that is saying (IMO) is that people will find ways to justify their lifestyle (as some people have pointed out, i am doing this) but that it is the heart that is important, the LORD weighs the heart

and i think that everyoen (and i mean absolutely every single person out there) lives differently to how they should di with God, but God will weigh their hearts, and if they have come to know God in their hearts, that is all God wants for them to inherit his kingdom of heaven

that is honestly what i believe, we are all not as we should probablly be, and there is no avoiding that fact - we all deserve to be thrown into the fires of damnation - but it is through the purity of our hearts we will be saved

ok, so when i say the purity of our hearts, you all probably think my heart is not pure because of the homosexuality - but many other laes clearly stated are ignored - but these are equally sinnful acts, so hwo will any of us be saved

the answer, quite simply, is Faith in Jesus Christ

amen

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
