We have been having a multitude of wildfires break out due to the Santa Ana Winds which blow embers about, even over a mile away.

Last night a couple of new fires started.   In five hours one fire spread to 4,000 acres.   On one particular day there were six wildfires.

It's up to 8300 acres now.  The wind is pushing it.

Yes, it's been severe. I'm praying for the end to this soon. It was unfortunate to have two consecutive years of ravaging inferno in our state. Lord help us.

sooner or later all the brushy stuff is going to burn and there will not be anything left to burn...   as it grows back maybe the environmentalists will let you clear cut under your power lines so they don't have to shut your power off to keep from being sued when one of the lines blows around and arcs.

As I was listening about the fires there was someone who was speaking about how, many years ago, the native people would purposely start fires to clear the under brush every year.  This was how they stayed away from the massive fires we see today.  I'm not saying that we should start fires, nope, not saying that, but their idea is correct.  Remove the fuel and there will be far less to burn.  Perhaps those who want to save the environment need to start realizing that some of the environment escalates the hazards and stop trying to save every piece of greenery.
