What about commandment #11?

"Thou shalt not pass on the right."

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That was covered in the talmud when it declared:

"God does not wish people to pass on the right. However if the person in the left lane is not going the speed limit and refuses to change lanes, then a child of God is forced to pass on the right. The condemnation for the violation rest upon the person in the left lane."

:emot-highfive:

You know that white sign on the right side of the road with big black letters? That's the MAXIMUM speed, not the minimum.

An agressive driver puts his driving needs first and everyone else's second. Road Rage can come from both defensive and agressive drivers.

Take for instance, my driving style. If I'm on a highway and there is an onramp comming up, and they have the yield sign but don't yield, i keep driving. Defensive driving teaches you to slow down and let them over anyway. Agressive driving says, "They should know better". I try to get over, but if I can't, and they keep comming, the only thing I'm thinking s, "here comes my free car". Likewise, if you allow people to rule you on the road then you're setting yourself up for insurance fraud. It allows you to get boxed in. An agressive driver will be agressive enough to make sure he doesn't get boxed in. Generally being agressive gives you quicker reflexes but also increases the chances of getting a ticket. However, being defensive decreases your chancese of getting a ticket bu tincreases your chances of ending up in a wreck.

I think you are heading for trouble, would you fly if pilots flew like you drive?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Heading for trouble because I obey traffic laws and leave myself an out? If every pilot flew like I drove then I'd actually fly home. There are pilots that fly like i drive, we call them fighter pilots :emot-highfive:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

OK The short 100 feet is an unusual situation where on and off ramps are too close together. I know where there is one like that in Fort Worth, and the driving public ought to bring a group lawsuit against the city, or state responsible for that kind of situation.

Now, the on ramp you describe is another animal all together. If you want to live a little longer, you had best learn how to release a little pressure on the gas pedal, and just let that guy get in front of you. There is a hundred other cars ahead of you, one more won't hurt.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'm talking about the exit and entrance ramps on Cooper Steet onto 20 in Arlington. I have no problem letting people ahead of me, however when they won't yeild and I have the right away and need to get over, I simply push my way over.

I have driven for 60 (sixty) years, and if there's one thing I have learned, it's best to keep as much distance between you and the other car as possible, what ever that takes

Oh trust me, if I could keep distance, I would. I've learned since moving to a big city that it's impossible to do that. Back home where there are really only two highways to worry about and not that many people, it's easier to be a defensive driver. Since moving to the big city, I've learned you can't get away with that.

On my travels through Virginia, New York City, and Massachussettes, if you have just two feet between you and the car in front of you, most of the time, someone will try to creep in. They don't stop until you let them in. I travel these routes often and I hate it. Grid lock!

Try driving through Oklahoma City, Kansas, and then Texas...that'll cause you to go bald.

Also, I gotta say, I enjoyed driving in North Carolina...most drivers yielded when they were suppose to, used their blinker during lane changes, and overall it was easy driving.

In Jacksonville NC where I am stationed, no one uses a blinker. Too many young Marines thinking they rule the road. Texas is a HUGE state. No thanks.

That would make you somewhere close to 75 or 80 years of age. ;) Do you still drive? How do you keep your temper with everyone thinking they are the only ones on the road? ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
