If you are using outlook express you can filter specific words.

I used to have a BIG problem with receiving spam mail when I used AOL.  But when I changed over to hotmail, it stopped.  One of my friends told me it was because I had signed up for alot of e-mailing lists.  Like monthly reports on bands I like, etc? Changing your e-mail address and only giving it to friends, people who you -want- to recieve e-mail from, should stop it.  I think, anyway!  :blush:

MCaffee has a program called spamkiller now that costs 29.95 and you can get a free trial for a month. It works great and I highly recommend it.

If you go to your options folder, you can block the domain...not the email address, that changes, but any mail from that domain i.e. "##@pornsite.com" and set your level of junk mail filtering higher.  Also, there is a "block sender" notation next to the incoming email adddress in the mail file.

You can use a program like IncrediMail that will look for specific bad words that you program into it, and will pull from the POP server of hotmail with no problem.

Whatever you do, do not attempt to unsubscribe...I tried that, and got walaid by more.  It simply confirms your live email address.  They don't care what you write, or if you try to tell them of God.  Not a hopeless case, but cyberspace is cold.  

You can also send by forward any unsolicited email to the government agency in charge of "spam" and such...I will look up the address and post it for you if you would like.  They can track down the source and negate it often....it is considered a cybercrime from what I understand.
