"A flake an acre" is a term some of us use here in South Carolina when the false prophets of the weather (another term we use for weathermen) predict snow. They can tell us that there will only be a dusting or less than 2 inches, or 6 inches.... it doesn't matter. Immediately there is a run on the grocery stores and the items mostly sought is milk, bread and toilet paper!  I'm not sure I understand the great need for a large stockpile of toilet paper but it happens. Maybe its because every time anything happens that is out of the ordinary it scares the crap (pardon my french ... another term we use) out of everyone, laughable but mostly sad. So many are running in panic. I wonder, where is faith? where is common sense? But I use to see the same thing many years ago when I use to work as an insurance adjuster and would work areas after hurricanes. I would go into disaster areas. In some areas the police would tell me that I might want a gun due to looters, etc....  I don't mind guns, I own one, but never took one, never really saw the need. But I would see people fight over bottled water and over ice. I would see anger in lines for gas. Many times I reflect that our "civilization" is only a thing sheet of glass and will shatter very easily. The Corona-virus is only a small thing that has caused a large panic. I know that in the not too distant future there will be harder times and I know all civility will practically disappear. For many it will be "every man for himself" and I believe that people will kill for food or necessities and will kill those that have it. In this present panic I see that the Lord is giving me a glimpse of how humanity will respond to these harder times ahead. I went by Walmart yesterday (not for toilet paper, not for hand sanitizer) but for other items for church snacks. The paper isle where toilet paper and paper towels are stocked was completely empty. I did purchase a couple of bottles of wine at Sam's Club (a much preferable item if I wanted to "stock" up) and I saw some people walking around with masks on. I believe at this time there has only been one or two cases of corona-virus reported in South Carolina but you think every other person had it!  I don't know how churches are responding but for our church it will be services as usual. There has been no evidence of panic within our congregation just more prayers for the world and those around us. If I get sick or not, I have no fear, my life as my days are in the Lord's hands.

And yet the unsaved world you are reaching out to as you may be going about sharing of Jesus with an unsaved world also sees your disobedience to authority when you violate public health decrees of government.  Churches I attend are sending out notice of their compliance to requests of government. Far better to do that than  to be assailed by the world we are trying to reach  is being so selfish as to put all of them at greater risk by our risky behavior as residents of the community.

What decrees have I violated? I didn't know that toilet paper stocking and panic was government sponsored. Well maybe the panic is along with the panic inflamed by the media.

"What decrees have I violated?" That one! When the State and the feds are saying do not gather in large groups, to say nope doesn't apply to us for we are Christians is not a great example to those we are trying to reach out to every day of the year year after year.

Well.... I guess I did if they actually read our posts on this website, otherwise I can only have the desire to tell the world to quit the panic!

The next shortage will be  of body bags if individuals say and act upon the idea that community safety needs are not for them to comply with because they know Jesus as Lord God and savior.

I haven't been told yet that church gatherings are banned in our area. If that happens.... then unless it is a law breaking offense we will continue, If it does become a law breaking offense then we will gather together in homes. But we will not forsake the assembling together to worship the Lord.

That is panic and unfounded. More people die everyday of the normal run of the flu than have died from the Corona-virus.

Fine, but we have a duty of love to others to protect them from infection. Numbers are low in the US because of the lack of testing. Have a look at worldwide graphs and the growing situation. We have the power to protect others from this disease, lets show love and use it.

Masks have been shown not to help. Stocking toilet paper doesn't help.... common sense would probably go a long way.  Once this panic is over, I realize there will always be another over the horizon.  I will not hide in my home and I will not walk in fear. If someone has the virus and desires prayer and anointing I will go to their home and anoint them, I will pray with them. I will serve and help but I will not hide.

do yourself a favour, and the people around you a favour. Read the stats. Read what is happening in the world. And know/accept that this is going to happen, and is already happening in the US. The lack of testing is giving you a false sense of security.

If your wont do this for yourself, do it for others. Its too late  afterwards, once you have spread contact infection around, to regret not having read up and listened to the medical experts and reports of what is happening around the world.

I haven't carried the disease to anyone. If I were to contract the virus, then I would stay away from others as I would the common cold until I was well again.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
