Hi, My name is Lamech.

I'm the new kid on the block and I was sitting around the campfire at night, listening to the stories of the elders, finally getting up the courage to ask my grandfather Enoch, "Grandfather, what happened in the garden?"

I noticed a sudden quiet around that ancient campfire, a looking for a place to not be noticed, a feeling of somehow having violated an ancient rule... When Grandfather Enoch broke the silence to say "I really don't know. We could go ask My grandfather Mahaliel."

Taking me by the hand, Enoch began to search around the campfires, and finally spotted his aged grandfather Mahaliel, leaning upon an old tree. Approaching together, Enoch warns his grandson,(that's me) "Now let me do the talking." I was only too glad to agree, as I was in total awe of the elders in whose company I was constantly made aware.

Enoch approached his ancient progenitor once removed and enquired," Grampa, may we ask you a question?"

Mahaleil thought for a moment and responded "I guess one question won't hurt. What is it?"

"What happened in the Garden Grampa," Enoch asked.

"Why, I don't know," responded Mahaliel. "I suppose we could go ask my grampa Enos."

By now I was beginning to wish I had kept my question to myself, as this was beginning to bring to my mind, the attention of some of the really ancient men of the camps.

But, too late. Off we went to find Grampa Enos. Around many fires we went. Around many fires we looked, and around many fires we enquired as to the whereabouts of grampa Enos.

Finally one ancient lady whose name we could not even remember, pointed in a direction with a nod of her head.

Off we went. Not long after, we spotted a campfire we had already looked at and ignored because it was so small. To the camp we trudged, and upon approaching the elder, and with no introductory remarks whatsoever, enquired "Grampy, what happened in the garden."

Grampa Enos shook his ancient head, and with a voice scarecely above a whisper, said "I don't know.... Let's go ask grandfather Adam."

I Now realized an enormity to what I had started that I hadn't imagined when I first gave voice to my curiosity. With a little fear and a little more trembling, I took grampa's grampa Enoch's hand; and Enoch took his grampa Mahaliel's hand, and Mahaliel took his grampa Enos's hand, and we all took off through the woods looking for the campfire of Enos's grandfather, Adam.

After searching for a long time, we spotted a little campfire back in a woody area that they had not seen before. Approaching quietly and respectfully, Enos said "Alright now, all you kids stay quiet, and let me ask the question." To which we all agreed.

We approached the campfire, and greeted grandfather Adam, who was glad to see so many of his extended family all out for a very rare visit. Enos wasted no time. "Grandfather Adam, can I ask you a question?"

"Well, I guess one question won't do any harm," replied the old man.

"Grandfather, what happened in the garden?"

Hushed silence. Not a breath stirred. Total silence. Adam's eyes filled with tears, as he sought out one from beside the fire. He reached out and an ancient woman rose from the fire's side, and he reached out to her with not a word. I noticed her eyes were filled with tears also. They took each other's hand, and speaking no  words, turned and went off into the forest, silently weeping, and with only an occasional sound of heartfelt agony, disappeared for many a day.

I never asked another question of my elders.

Let me share a little bit of my vision for the ministry in a parable.

Let's say I'm throwing a big party and am inviting the world to the party (the forums) and I want everyone to have a great time, eating (reading through posts being fed), drinking (being encouraged to walk in His Word), and having fellowship with one another.  In Israel, we have Shabbat meals -- and whenever you have 2 Jews -- you have 3 opinions -- it's GREAT to be opinionated.  I encourage discussions ... but during our Shabbat meals ... we never ever get to the point in disagreements whereby food is being tossed and seriously yelling takes place!  And if someone comes into the meal ... and starts throwing food ... and yells at everyone -- what do you suppose the head of the Shabbat meal will do?  He'll escort those causing problems out of the house!  Why?  Because the whole reason for the gathering was to learn from one another ... to have a great time of fellowship!

Some people like to constantly throw food and yell ... they won't last on Worthy ... because they missed the point of the party ... it's a prequel to the true party -- the Lamb's Supper!

All I'm trying to provide is a place to allow true fellowship ... and discussions in love ... in the hopes it will be a catalyst for true REVIVAL based on REPENTANCE!

I hope you have a blessed time at Worthy!

I cannot see too well, and have trouble following tutorials, but I will be patient and see what happens.

And thank you for the introduction.

Perhaps you can clear up one minor item for me; So far I have been told:

need to post two times so we can determine you are not a bot"

"You need to post one time so we can determine you are not a bot"

"You need to post three times so we can determine you are not a bot"

That leads to my question - Is there a calculator problem here?

I would be on the receiving end of the food fight - I love a good old "dinner on the ground" as found in many churches in America.

Welcome DearOldDad - I too am a newbie.  That story you posted - about Lamech asking the questions was fantastic.  There were tears in my eyes as I watched the aged Adam and Eve disappear into the dark wood.  Thank you for sharing. I have always been astounded at who got to talk to who in those days since they lived so very long!  Thanks again

Welcome to my world!

I have spent a lifetime wondering how things affected the people who did them, and to whom they were done. Imagine for a moment, Enoch, of the seventh generation from Adam, who did not die because he had this testimony, "He pleased God," so God translated him. If people would read of the people who were good, they could never have believed the story someone began, to hide what they were doing, "Oh, the old testament was done away, we need only study the new." Some churches actually teach that in their pulpits.

If they read the old testament and learn of Noah, and Daniel, and Job, they could never come up with such nonsense as the "original sin inheritance" curse supposedly placed upon all men. Who can believe such nonsense when they have Ezekiel telling us of such good men?

Ezek 14:1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me. 2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?

4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; 5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.  7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself: 8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him; 11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.

12 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, 13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts: 16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.

17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it: 18 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.

19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast: 20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

Yet some people will turn to a verse that says "There is none righteous, no, not one" and proclaim loud and long that no man can do anything towards his own salvation, only Jesus can save them. Well, at least that part is true.

They need to read what James says about "the sin not unto death," then read about Enoch, and Noah, Daniel, and Job, and several other individuals in scripture who are called "Righteous," before they condemn all people to such a sad, sad doctrine contrived by men, of "Original sin." But then I know who originated it and I know why, but do not intend to go further with that theme until folks learn I intend them no slight or hurt. Only a hand up as they learn a new thing, hidden because they have been taught early in life that "all men are only evil."

Enough of that.

Welcome to my world and to this wonderful board.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
