Do you think he wouold judge (on Judgement Day) someone for being (or having) a condtion..... like a mental illness, or, dare I say it....being gay?

Especially if they can't help it......

and one more thing.........if you thought you were one of the above.......could you pray "out of it" , or are you stuck with it.....all your life?

All that I know is that the Lord is a just entity and He will do no wrong. Beyond that, I really don't know for sure.

I have a friend who has been a Psychiatrist for many many years. He really swims against the current, but he has had tremendous success helping gay men become exclusively heterosexual. To me this shows homosexual orientation to be a CHOICE, not a nature set in stone.

Reread her post. She never said being gay was a mental illness. She said or being gay. Having a mental illness isn't something that you can snap out of like being gay. Gay people can choose to act out the sins of being gay and a person with mental problems simply don't have that choice.

Let's examine what was said:

Now cancer or severe mental illness is a "condition that a person cannot necessarily help having". So why include .....being gay? No the intent was to INCLUDE being gay as an illness for which the person was not responsible.

Sin is sin, and this particular type of sin both degrades the bodies of the participants as well as dishonoring Christ, for it is like Christ prostituing Himself with Satan - can you imagine? I believe this sin to be up there with murder and abortion etc.

I once knew someone who had a sexual thought attack them while searching a filmsite.

The "someone" was a female. And so was the search result.

The person did not look up the actress for any reason except to find out information on her filmography, and biography.

The person was searching through the pages, and a photo appeared of the actress.....all of a sudden, a sexual thought screamed it's way in.

The person was so shocked.

Then a terrible thought came in...."I---I----m....."

The person was in an awful state.

She was afraid to tell anyone of her experience....

On behalf of this person who I shall NOT name.......is she just having an attack from the devil....or is she.....what she fears?

HaSatan will tempt us with all kinds of thoughts, what we do with those thoughts is where we will be judged, not by his temptation.
