This black and white Elvis movie was more in line with The King's classic tunes. He rocked and rolled in this one, as opposed to the more demure movies that came along later. The sets were budget as were the costumes, but it didn't matter much. This one showed Elvis as more a performer. Jailhouse Rock was a great song as well. Anyone else out there like Elvis flicks? Frankie and Johnny, co-starring the lovely Donna Douglas. (Ellie Mae Clampett - Beverly Hillbillies) Wow, was the plot and songs ever horrible! Then again, weren't they all? The costumes were classy, but that was all that was classic about this bomb. This bomb... Some of the old movies when you look at them today are really bombs...maybe that's where they get "B movies" from! Gives me an idea for another thread....will do it now. I'll surprise you guys with it....no hints!
