hi brothers and sisters

It has been another really grand and serene day in the mountains.  We did go to neighboring State yesterday took 3 1/2 hours to get to a city to look for a computer. Turned out it wasn't in stock.

As of today we have Hughes net satellite. We have been almost totally isolated from the world for a couple of weeks. Using my phone I took a quick look on the board. Have been greatly blessed in isolation treating myself to enjoyment of Gods word - presently spending a lot of time in Psalm five Jude and Acts.

Weather is a pleasant 58 to 73 degrees.

May God bless each of you in your own adventure.

Well did you order the computer and let Amazon or UPS drive the 3 1/2 hours, for an extra $10.

I would have.

Your life sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I have my phone to text and check worthy, but besides that I’ve isolated myself from the world too.

Haven’t watched the news in weeks and haven’t even left the house. We need to go on a road trip and see this beautiful country and the work of God’s hands.

We had no internet nor did we know what we wanted for sure, plus computers are hard to come by right now.  Amazon does not deliver everywhere overnight even to Prime Account members.

The funny part is we were bringing three computers with us, but they never made it into the car. Oops!

Also it has taken two weeks to get satellite installed, an installer did come here from a neighboring State, a rather wonderfully pleasant brother in the Lord. He didn't even charge for the extra effort he had to put in to make it all work out. Seems it was a multi hour one way drive for him to get here. We shared of life's adventures some. Turns out he and we have some very in common backgrounds.  Made for a good time for each of us.

God provides!

No news does make much quality time available for the Good News. Seems news is just a distraction from what is really important for me to tend. When I read my Bible I am ever so much better prepared for my day than I am when I get caught up in the passing traumas and worries of the moment.

The mountain seems a refuge even when bears fighting tumble down a short cliff in front of me - that one was rather weird, just two young ones, but still a wake up that maybe a bigger momma bear is around. And the reddest dear come by too, makes for interesting drives and even more fun walks to the lakes waters edge. All God's creatures big and small... becomes very real to me as I wait to see the morning sun burn away the mist over the waters. It is a blessing, a happiness to an old man. God is good, so good!

Ha, yep I'd definitely be out matched in a face to face encounter. But it would also be the best of days too-

I'm no Daniel Boone. More of a concrete jungle creature that finds himself in the swamps with gators and now woods with a few bears.

I so love the adventure of it, being kind of out of place yet in my comfort zone too, weak yet strong in reliance of my God's sovereignty. His will for me, and my feeble attempts at being a bond-servant of our Lord Jesus. Gives me much reason to be humble and often humbled too. Such magnificent creatures God has made and allowed even me to see for myself.

excellent! So happy for you. My wife and I went to Alaska on a cruise, 40th year anniversary thing, and I was hoping to see grizzly bears, and only saw one a long way off. I could see more by going to the smokey mountains, or, probably out where you live. In southern MI, I have only had one encounter with a cougar while walking my dog on my property. The cat was close, and we hear the thing scream like you hear on TV. My golden retriever lead the way pulling me to our house as fast as he could. LOL. The cat hung around my house for a couple weeks, I am next to a state game preserve, and then left the area. It was more of a aggravation to people in our area, running horses and steers into fences, but, the DNR denied that there were big cats in our area. But, me . . . It took me weeks to get my hair to lay back down .  . . .  LOL

Grace & Peace  . . . Ray . . .

Hi we also did the Alaska cruise only saw one bear from the cruise ship but while kayaking up there saw a few on shore.

It is amazing how God's creatures  do adapt. Even to city and suburban life closing in on them at Florida.

And here I a city creature adapt to the woods at the  mountain. Maybe I will become all furry and they will need suntan lotion for the beaches.

Well I need to prepare for my drive to town to attend church, take care God bless.

Ah church-Yes! It was grand (Yesterday) gathering in prayer one for another, praising God, worship in songs of praise, the presence of God the Holy Spirit among the local body gathered, the word of God read, exposition of the word and exhortation- so grand is the privilege God has afforded even to those at the mountain that have to venture some distance to gather each in joyous awe of our savior Jesus.

Such privilege is deeply humbling, we each seem to know it is special very special privilege extended to each of us by God. Praises to God, awesome is God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
