Its funny this thread would come up.

A couple at our Church asked for prayers for their 8 year old daughter. She had just been diagnosed with cancer. Our whole Church prayed about her, 2 Wednesday nights in a row, as well as including her in the regular prayers on Sunday morning and Sunday night, and we were all asked to remember her in our own prayers. They were taking her the specialist this Monday to decided the best treatment and guess what??? NO CANCER! The Specialist couldn't find anything.............hummmmmm!

Well, first off was emotional healing from past abuse. I had suppressed all these emotions and memories and I thought I had forgotten them and had forgiven those who had hurt me, but instead I had put up an emotional wall of defense that kept people from getting close to me. I found it very difficult to express feelings and to hug people, except my husband and kids, and I came across kind of cold, as my sisters would call it, but that was not me, not the real me inside. To make a long story short, a series of events led to me praying with a friend of mine for God to deliver me from a spirit of fear, and after we prayed I felt as though this great weight had just been lifted from me. I felt free for the first time in my life. Next, God began surfacing all those hurts so that I could allow him to heal them, and that was a long process, but God's healing mercies have been so real in delivering me out of bondage to fear and bringing me into freedom in Christ.

Second one was a physical healing. I had taken Prozac during a time in my life when my hormones were going wacko and I was depressed, but I had all kinds of rare side effects to the med. The doc thought it was not the med causing the side effects, so he also put me on a tranquilizer. The longer I was on Prozac, the worse the symptoms became and the stronger the dose I got of the tranquilizer. Soon even the sound of my husband's voice was so painful to my ears that it brought immediate tears to my eyes. I could stand to have anyone even touch my skin, because it felt like it was totally raw. I had sensations of numbness and electrical pains shooting through my body and I had insomnia, etc. Now they are learning that Prozac and other drugs like Prozac can really mess with people's nervous system, but I was on it so long that even after coming off of it, it left permanent damage to my CNS. I went through a whole series of doctors and tests and even ended up at the Mayo Clinic before getting a diagnosis of CNS chemical imbalance induced by the Prozac. I was put on a mild tranquilizer, and that helped for four years, but soon the effects of it began to wear off. God had been doing another stage of healing me from fear of man when I sensed him saying to me that he wanted to heal me physically, too, so I quit taking the medication and I've been fine ever since. It was the first time I ever remember being healed physically, and it was wonderful!!

This past November God asked me to give up some more medications. I had been taking hormone replacement therapy for 15 yrs and I was also taking sinus medication, and I gave those both up in one day and have not had any problems in those areas, either. I have some mild hot flashes some times, but nothing I can't live with. So, this was my second physical healing. And, God is showing me his healing power each day. I often will pray through a headache and get more instant relief than I will with medication. I am learning more and more each day how much God wants to heal us if we will just trust him.

HEALING IN HOLY SCRIPTURE -

1. God CAN heal anyone of anything (acc. to His will);

2. God MAY heal anyone of anything (acc. to His will);

3. God MAY NOT heal anyone at all;

4. God WILL heal everyone...UNTIL our "Final Ailment"; ALL divine healing is of God!;

5. God DOESN'T heal FAR MORE OFTEN than He DOES heal!;

6. There's a BIBLICAL method for healing in the church - James 5:13-16 - the church elders GO TO THE SICK PERSON! How come "healers" NEVER MENTION THIS BIBLE METHOD TODAY AT ALL, EVER?!

7. Peter declares there IS A MINISTRY OF SUFFERING! Again, "healers" fail to underscore this biblical reality! Why?

8. Paul reminds us that GOING TO HEAVEN is "gain"!

9. BIG QUESTION NEVER DEALT WITH: Pentecostal "faith healers" DON'T LIKE

ICU or AIDS Wards - or worse, LOCAL CEMETERIES! Why not? Didn't our miracle-working Lord & Saviour raise dead people?! Of course, of course! The question answers itself.

In all things, may Jesus Christ be praised!

Amen to that! What was it yomo?

Uhh...where is everybody? Kinda scary  :rolleyes:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Okaaaaay. :24:

Here goes.

Are ya ready? Lets begin!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------

It was 1996.

I was 5 years old. I had celeaic disease (probably tpo error, I can't imagine how it's spelt! I'll call it "CD".

Anyway, in this disease, I could not eat anything with gluten in it.

It was a very heavy inconveniance.

I could not go to Kid's parties and enjoy cakes, biscuits, or even certain kinds of sweet or Chocolate..... :P.......

But at 5, obviuosly, it did not bother me that much.

But I still remember eating this unatrual peice of "substitute bread", with what I think was "marmite"....not sure.

But normal food was a NO- NO.

If I ate that stuff, I'd get ill, get a rash, maybe vomit...and be rEALLY sick.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The summer of 1996 rolled around, and my family attended a Christian Church Bible Week. (England)

(Anyone heard of Stoneleigh Bible Week?)

On one of the nights thee, a video clip was shown of a small boy who was healed of "CD".

While watching, I pionted to the screen, and I said "Mummy, why can't I be healed like him?"

The next day, I knew something had changed. I knew God had healed me.

I went to Mum, and asked her for some normal food.

She said "yes".....(hoping I'd forget all about it)

Dinner time came........and I had the "substitute food".

I protested to Mum that I wanted normal food.

Mum said she would pray for me.

I am not sure , but I think I brushed her aside, and begged to have an ice cream, as it was a hot day.

Refusing, I ran outside, and rushed to my older brother, (Z-------------),

and said that Mum wouldn't let me........

After a while, of pleading that God had healed me....Mum resgined and gave me some normal food, expecting me to fall ill.

Nothing happened.

And nothing ever has happened.

I wqas healed.

God gave me faith, at 5 yrs old.......

Oh, and I did get my ice cream after all. :24:

Yomo (the healed) :)

Funny this should come up because 2 days ago I experienced supernatural healing in my bedroom. Well my very close friend Brooke had just gotten back from a youth camp and gotten so many good things from God, healing came up and she mentioned that we should pray for my ankle. I was like 'yeah cool.' Brooke's says, 'Abbie I mean now.' So we stood up and started praying, begging God for healing and to grow our faith. My ankle started to feel better, we keep praying, and by praying I mean yelling! Brooke's mum came in and told us that Brooke had to go in 5 mins. After that we knew we didn't have time to muck around, we wanted healing now! By now my ankle was about 85% better so we keep praying and suddenly I just started counting up 86% 87% 88% 89% 90% 91% well you get the idea. By 100% Brooke and I are bawling our eyes out and my ankle has been healed. I can now worship God with all I am and dance because I have been told I am an annointed dancer. Picture this, a 14 and 15 year old in the space of half an hour experience a miracle in a bedroom. I think that is pretty amazing.

About my ankle, it had been injured for over a year, I couldn't run, jog, do sport anything. In fact I was going to have to have an operation on it. But God healed it :emot-wave: Thats my story.

I read you...praise God indeed! But what about Pentecostal "healers" and the aforementioned ICU Wards and local cemeteries? Why no "Miracle Services" centered there? Hmm.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
