I have been dabbling a bit with acrylic on canvas on a small scale. And as it happens, there is a Acrylic pouring workshop happening near me soon that I am thinking of joining. It looks very interesting

Those are fine Henry keep up the good work if you enjoy it at all. However, I am trying to keep the focus of this thread narrow. I have already deleted to posts for entirely leaving the topic. I suggest that you consider posting these in:

Our Artist's Lounge

In the Maker's Club

A thread about yourself in the Worthy Gold section.

I will keep these here for now, but I may remove them eventually, along with other posts were people are chit-chat. Hate to be a party pooper, but there are plenty of parties to attend here on worthy! :)

By way, I especially like the first one of yours above, not only for the bold colors, but I like the way the texture of the canvas shows intermittently.  I would call it something strange, like "School of Fish in a Forest Fire"!

yes they are both mine thanks. The bottom one is called simply Dry Land.

It's very cool to think of the ground, in what looks like a animal print. Not sure that was your aim. But super special. The first I really like too. I think you are giftec.

If you are not able to tell which side of a picture is up then I have to question the quality of the picture.

Perhaps, some paintings do not have an "up" and are just done for aesthetic beauty, and are not "of" something. Some people appreciate the appearance of something without having to even know that is is "of" something. Perhaps, others lack whatever it is that that allows other to enjoy a broader selection, those people are fortunate.

Tastes vary! I do not like the taste of olives, but that does not mean that there is a lack of quality, just a lack of appreciation on my part.

For me the Landscape horizontal orientation of the painting suits the bedroom aesthetic best. I would hang it Portrait vertical if it was at the end of a hallway

Also in the painting, Redish colours to the left & Blueish colours to the right fits better for me because of the left to right order of the spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Thank you everyone, who had voted in the poll so far. Not sure when I will end it, but I think the numbers are more statistically significant, the greater they get, but it is slow going at this point, perhaps when it hits 33 votes, I'll end it (@ 29 now) because it can be multiplied times 3 to get close to 100,, the next integer to multiply by to get close to 100, will be two, that would take 50 votes, I am not going to carry it out that long.

Thanks again everyone!

THe second photo just 'seems' the orientation is right.

Yes--'right' is the word.
