John 5

New King James Version

A Man Healed at the Pool of Bethesda

5 After (A)this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus (B)went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem (C)by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, [a]Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, [c]waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

8 Jesus said to him, (D)“Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked

THE GOODSHEPHERD knew where the lost sheep was and he went to him...

As in the other example above both men could not go to him inthe condition they were...Just like in the parable of the lost sheep.

And he met their needs.

The Good Shepherd knew where they were..

One in a remote town by the see of Galilee, and the other by the pool in Bestheba...

And he went to them...

I have more a lot more profound but I do not think you are ready to receive...

You must know if that is my opinion or not...

Have you come to torment the people who love Jesus Christ...

You know those words are not words the people used that time...those are knew words...the early Fathers use when we did not have print copies of the scriptures and all but a few were illiterate...

No we can't fine s scriptures that use these words in the bible...in their positive or negative value  ..

Those who wrote the scriptures did not use these words...they were not part of their vocabulary...

We do not fine words in the bible to the contrary...that say that Jesus Christ was ignorant or foolish or unwise...or not knowing what he was doing...those are antonyms to the word omniscient...

Jesus Christ was full of knowledge and wisdom..

But on the other hand is good that you have raised these questions...I am not complaining..

We need to review what we to receive by DEFAULT traditions...

That make us dependent and feeble even to attempt to revisit these kind of situations...that are not to be very clear when we read the scriptures...they are not in black and white format  ..

Maybe there is a good reason for that   we would have begun to worship and revered the bible instant of seeking the wisdom that comes from above.

And we might forget and or refuse the help of the Holy Spirit...so please take this with a grain of salt.

It is not what you are asking but the way you do I found it vulgar, very strong, and disturbing to many that they turned the page instant of participating..

I am not telling you what to do...but they are some technics to follow to warm up the participants...

How does Jesus knew about the sircumstances of those people from afar...in many cases we see that he knew their thoughts from afar away...

Is it possible that we can also experience what Jesus had as we are in him and he has given us the All knowing , All wise, All powerful Holy Spirit...to be our helper...should we look forwards that these kind of experiences can happen to us .

Thank you for posting...

Those words of Peter doesnt mean that Jesus did know literally everithing

Many persons along the Gospels and the Bible have said many things, not all of them being thruth

Jesus did not know the day of his return.

Jesus corrected his disciples, when they made mistakes.  On this occasion, he asked if they truly believed (i.e. did they really believe that he knew all things, as had just been stated?).  You don't even make that declaration, never mind believe it.

Jesus, as man, did not know the day of his return; but, as God (and Jesus has always been God and man, in one Person), he always knows everything, because God is omniscient and immutable.

Question, if you are all-knowing (know everything) can you at the same time not know something? You either know everything, or you don't know everything, you cannot have it both ways.

Can post what is in your mind when you say that...so we are able to tell for our selves...

Why you do not post the specifics....

Describe with a few words the event that you keep secret in your mind...

Jesus was not trained to be an electrician...or an auto mechanic...

Perhaps a parallel to this would be that Jesus is 100% man and 100% God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
