Woman of revelation 12?

IMO: The "woman" who bore the child (Jesus), in the context of Revelation 12:13-17, are Jewish persons (a Jewish person is any/every descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob).. They will flee persecution to the "place" of Petra (Revelation 12:6,14). When evil forces realize they cannot engage these Jews that fled, they will turn on others (Gentiles) who also bear the testimony of Jesus. Subsequently the beast ("Anti-Christ"), a charismatic leader who received a fatal wound and yet survived (Revelation 13:3) will step up the persecution, knowing from the Bible that his time in power is coming to an end. He is insane, since he knows he cannot prevail, but hatred clouds his mind.

The woman who sits on the beast (Revelation 17:3) is the rebuilt city of Babylon (Revelation 17:5), wealthy perhaps because of its rich oil reserves.

The seven heads in Revelation 17:3 (also Revelation 12:3, 13:1) are seven nations that oppressed Israel. See the interpretation in Revelation 17:8-18.

Messiah must be a descendant of David (2Samuel 7:12-16, Isaiah 11:1, Jeremiah 23:5-6).

Jesus descends from David through his father and through his mother (Matthew 1:1, Luke 1:32-33, Acts 15:15-16, Hebrews 1:5).
