That's right, "after the tribulation in those days", means that the last trumpet is #7. We must go through the events in the first six trumpets and seals. He appears, every eye sees HIM and at that moment, it sounds, the rapture occurs, and the 7 Bowls filled with God's wrath are released at that time. There is not a rapture prior to this last trumpet (which is blown by an angel - not by a man during the Feast of Trumpets). Of course the Pre-tribbers are adamant about this and will deny that the last Trump is the 7th ... because it destroys their whole view. We shall see. Actually, I would prefer that they were right and me wrong. Another morsel to add: I think we are in the "beginning of sorrows", also spoken about in Matthew 24. This time we are in precedes the GT. Pestilence, locusts in Africa that might lead to famine, wars coming, earthquakes more frequently ... all speak to the times. Also Benjamin Netanyahu just saud the words: "Peace and Security" concerning their new deal with the United Arab Emirates. The Muslim world is in a tizzy over that. Mark, you are going about it the wrong way... The rapture is not in Matthew 24:15-31. Those set of verses are a message to the Jews who will go through the tribulation. Jesus is warning them of how to avoid being killed by fleeing to the mountains as soon as they (Jews living in Judaea) see the abomination of desolation setup in the holy place. Luke 17:26-37 is a message to the Jews, Israel, who will go through the great tribulation. (the ones taken, will be killed, their bodies where the eagles are gathered) Matthew 24:15-31 is a message to the Jews, Israel, who will go through the great tribulation. (where the carcase is, there be eagles gathered together, in verse 28) Matthew 24:32-51 is a message to Christians, the church, who escape going through the great tribulation, via the rapture. (the ones taken are in the rapture, not to where the eagles are gathered, but to heaven. There are no eagles in that set of verses). Parallels Luke 21:34-36, be watching and worthy to escape, and stand before the Son of Man. In Matthew 24:40-42, the same type of language as in Luke 17:26-37 ..two women grinding, two in the field. BUT, in Matthew 24:32-51 there is no follow up verse of anyone taken to where the eagles are gathered, like in Luke 17_26-37. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Matthew 24:32-51 is a message to Christians - to be aware of the times, to be watching, i.e. aware that the rapture could happen anytime, and to be living like Christians. Rev 7:14...these are those who have come out of the Great Tribulation... While John also saw the souls of martyrs who were killed in tribulation. Their souls were placed under the altars.
