Shalom, Moby.

I'm just going to say it:  You're pulling these Scriptures from all over the Bible and ASSUMING that they are all talking about the same things. (They're not.) However, there's just too much to correct, because YOU'RE HELTER-SKELTER ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Your beliefs of these passages must also fit with what I've shown you from the VERY SAME SCRIPTURES! Thus, WHATEVER you accept about these passages of Scripture, they MUST ALSO HARMONIZE TOGETHER with what I've shown you.

I'm just too tired to pursue it any longer. Just know that the whole business about the children of Israel and Jews, too, (which are a SUBSET of the children of Israel) are all about FAMILY! Specifically, they are all YESHUA`S family! If you don't like it, too bad. That's the way it is.

And, regarding the flesh and all of Creation, for that matter, just know this: God will not lose a single iota to sin, death, or the devil! He WINS!

One sees harmony when one sees as Father intended:

Isaiah 28:9-10  Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?  (10)  For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little.

That right there is a good example of what I mean! You use these verses COMPLETELY out of context! To whom were these words written? Why were they written? Can you tell me ANYTHING from memory about the passage from which these two verses come without having to look them up? Did Abba mean them as you think he meant them?

QUIT QUOTING SCRIPTURE JUST TO BE QUOTING SCRIPTURE! Just because it SOUNDS close to what you want to say doesn't mean that the verses quoted say what you're trying to say!

I am sure you think it is just sheer coincidence that the the Holy Spirit would move the new testament teachers to quote old testament precepts over 800 times:

https://www.blueletterbible.org/study/misc/quotes.cfm

Such as this one:

1 Corinthians 14:18-23  I thank God, I speak with tongues more than you all:  (19)  howbeit in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.  (20)  Brethren, be not children in mind: yet in malice be ye babes, but in mind be men.  (21)  In the law it is written, By men of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers will I speak unto this people; and not even thus will they hear me, saith the Lord.  (22)  Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to the unbelieving: but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to them that believe.  (23)  If therefore the whole church be assembled together and all speak with tongues, and there come in men unlearned or unbelieving, will they not say that ye are mad?

Where Paul was clearly quoting part of this passage from Isaiah chapter 28:

Isaiah 28:9-12  Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?  (10)  For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little.  (11)  Nay, but by men of strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;  (12)  to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Now why would Paul take a passage from Isaiah chapter 28 completely out of context and only partially quote verses 11 and 12 when talking about the gift of tongues given by the Holy Spirit to the new testament church made up of predominately gentile believers???

How dare Paul do such an non hermenutical deed!!!

Even Jesus dared to take an old testament verse completely out of context and only partially quote it:

Psalms 82:6  I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High.

John 10:34-36  Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?  (35)  If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),  (36)  say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Some day you may figure out what Jesus meant when He said: "the scripture cannot be broken"!:

2 Timothy 3:16-17  Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:  (17)  that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.

You should ask yourself why on average there was only one true prophet for every 400+ false prophets within Israel:

1 Kings 18:17-19  And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Is it thou, thou troubler of Israel?  (18)  And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah, and thou hast followed the Baalim.  (19)  Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the Asherah four hundred, that eat at Jezebel's table.

2 Chronicles 18:5-7  Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.  (6)  But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?  (7)  And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah: but I hate him; for he never prophesieth good concerning me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

The averages today are much higher!

This is YOUR take on what Paul was doing! However, again, I will point out the words "IN THE LAW it is written!" That is, one should be looking for these words in the TORAH of Mosheh, not in the rest of the TANAKH! This is where you would do well to learn Hebrew, not just the vocabulary but also the grammar of the language!

This is more likely coming from Deuteronomy 28:

Deuteronomy 28:15-68 (KJV)

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. 21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. 22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. 23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. 24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. 30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. 31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. 32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand. 33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: 34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. 36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. 39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. 43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. 44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: 51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. 53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54 So that the man that istender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: 55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. 56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, 57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. 63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

Again, the words are "Is it not written IN YOUR LAW...?" Ask yourself, "Why does this begin with "I said," PERFECT TENSE showing action already completed, in Psalm 82:6?

2 Timothy 3:16-17  Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:  (17)  that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.

First, the word "perfect" in the KJV's phrase "that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto ever good work" doesn't mean "complete." It means "NEWLY READY; ADEQUATE!" It comes from the Greek word "artios," which in turn, comes from the Greek word "arti," meaning "now!"

Oh, I know what He meant by those words; He meant that the Scriptures are IRREVOCABLE by anything that one does or says in the future! Therefore, no matter how one tries to change God's Word to twist it to his or her own philosophy, the Word still stands and the prophecies of that Scripture shall be fulfilled JUST AS HE SAID THEY WOULD!

Here's a case in point: Today, you will hear many people trying to say that "resurrection" means to be brought back to a meaningful life from a pit of despair. Many songs are saying it that way these days. Why? Because the writers can't bring themselves to believe that the Resurrection will be LITERAL! And now, many people think we'll fly off to "Heaven" when we die and live happily ever after!

BUT, the Scriptures don't support that theory! Instead, they are quite literal in the statement of bringing dead bodies back to life! Just as Elezar ("Lazarus") was LITERALLY brought back to life by the Messiah Yeshua`, so we shall be brought back to life, should we die before He returns! And, we are to be ANTICIPATING the Resurrection, not "going to Heaven," when we die!

The averages today are much higher!

That was true in that ONE instance of history. Eliyahuw ("Elijah") was both a prophet of YHWH and zealously supported YHWH! That's why YHWH was free to give Eliyahuw carte blanche in his prophecies! When Eliyahuw said there would be no rain, God agreed with Eliyahuw, and there was no rain!

Furthermore, IyzeVel ("Jezebel") was a PAGAN queen of king AchaV ("Ahab"), who was an evil king of the NORTHERN Kingdom, the 10 tribes of Israel, who broke away from the tribe of Yhudah, splitting the Kingdom of David and Shlomoh in half! (1 Kings 16:29-33) They were more willing to abandon YHWH because they no longer came to Yerushalayim ("Jerusalem") for the feasts! They no longer came to YHWH'S Temple! In their rebellion, the Northern Kingdom was RIPE for idolatry, and IyzeVel took advantage of that weakness! That was a SNAPSHOT in Israel's history, not the norm!

AND, it was not the end! Although Eliyahuw thought he was alone in his endeavors for YHWH, YHWH pointed out that he was NOT alone, even in the Northern Kingdom of Israel!

1 Kings 19:11-18 (KJV)

11 And he said,

"Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD (Hebrew: YHWH)."

And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD;
but the LORD was not in the wind:
and after the wind an earthquake;
but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire;
but the LORD was not in the fire:
and after the fire a still small voice. 13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said,

"What doest thou here, Elijah?"

14 And he said,

"I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."

15 And the LORD said unto him,

"Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint ...
Hazael to be king over Syria:
16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel:
and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

17 "And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay:
and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 "Yet I have left me SEVEN THOUSAND in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him."

And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD;
but the LORD was not in the wind:
and after the wind an earthquake;
but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire;
but the LORD was not in the fire:
and after the fire a still small voice.

Good morning Retrobyter!

Let's focus on this statement of yours first:

"This is where you would do well to learn Hebrew, not just the vocabulary but also the grammar of the language!"

Sorry bro but our Father does not require the Christian teacher to learn Hebrew in order to properly understand His Word! There is a reason our Father chose to make His Word become most prevalent in the English language over the last 500 years:

1 Corinthians 14:18-19  I thank God, I speak with tongues more than you all:  (19)  howbeit in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

Paul was very clearly quoting Isaiah chapter 28:11-12 as it is almost word for word:

1 Corinthians 14:20-21  Brethren, be not children in mind: yet in malice be ye babes, but in mind be men.  (21)  In the law it is written, By men of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers will I speak unto this people; and not even thus will they hear me, saith the Lord.

Our Father was extending His law through Isaiah:

Isaiah 1:10  Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

Because the entire book from Genesis to Revelation is our Father's law through Christ:

Galatians 6:2  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

There are hundreds of denominations and sects of Christianity today all claiming they have the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth but are false prophets and teachers:

2 Peter 2:1-2  But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.  (2)  And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of.

Jesus and Paul made it very clear that the curse awaits anyone who deviates from the unleavened truth:

Galatians 1:6-9  I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;  (7)  which is not another gospel: only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.  (8)  But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.  (9)  As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.

Revelation 22:18-19  I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book:  (19)  and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

Shalom, Moby.

Well, that's just not true. The Scriptures weren't written in English, and if one is going to be precise about the Scriptures, English will not be enough. It's okay though. You SHALL learn Hebrew either now or during the Millennial Kingdom. If you don't, you will be at a serious disadvantage for a while, for the "lingua franca" of God's Kingdom will be Hebrew. You will find it irksome to go through a translator all the time. Yeshua` spoke Hebrew; the disciples spoke Hebrew; Paul spoke Hebrew; the Patriarchs spoke Hebrew; all the children of Israel spoke Hebrew; even many of the "church fathers" spoke Hebrew throughout the First and Second Centuries A.D.

When Paul was knocked to the ground by the bright light from the sky, in what language did he hear Yeshua` speak to him?

Acts 26: (KJV)

12 "Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue,

"'Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.'

15"And I said,

"'Who art thou, Lord?'

"And he said,

"'I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.'..."

(And, for those who insist that Yeshua` spoke Aramaic instead of Hebrew, just know that Aramaic IS a form of Hebrew spoken in ancient Syria, then known as Aram. Essentially, it's just a DIALECT of Hebrew.)

In ENGLISH, it's "almost word for word"; that's due to the translators. In Hebrew, not so much! In context, NOT AT ALL! He's talking to a WHOLE DIFFERENT SET OF PEOPLE! What the two passages REALLY have in common is the rare combination of particular words, such as "tongues," "lips," "speak," and the phrase "(un)to this people," as well as a common refrain, "(they) will/would not hear (me)." This, however, was a common complaint YHWH had with MULTIPLE peoples, particularly with those who SHOULD have been listening to Him all along, the children of Israel.

Galatians 6:2  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

First of all, Galatians 6:2 doesn't support this theory. Second, you DO know that "Christ" means the "Messiah," right? Furthermore, "Messiah" means He is our Father's Anointed One to be Israel's King. It also means that He is our Father's CHOICE for Israel's King, demonstrated by the "anointing" or the "rubbing" with the Holy Anointing Oil. So, this is not the Father's law THROUGH Christ in Galatians 6:2; it's the "law OF Christ!" That is, it is "CHRIST'S law!" or the "MESSIAH'S law!" And, what was His "law?"

Matthew 22:34-40 (KJV)

34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?"

37 Jesus said unto him,

"'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Luke 10:25-28 (KJV)

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying,

"Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

26 He said unto him,

"What is written in the law? how readest thou?"

27 And he answering said,

"'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."

28 And he said unto him,

"Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live."

And, of course, these are not possible for a human being to do without God's help. So, Yochanan ("John") summarized these two commandments this way:

1 John 3:13-24 (KJV)

13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. 14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, "That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another," as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him (God the Father), and he (God the Father) in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Thus, Yochanan concluded that "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind" IS "that we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ!" Later, he also said,

1 John 5:1-12 (KJV)

WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST (YESHUA` IS THE MESSIAH) IS BORN OF GOD: and every one that loveth him that begat (God the Father) loveth him also that is begotten of him (Yeshua` the Messiah, the Son of God). 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 HE THAT HATH THE SON HATH LIFE; AND HE THAT HATH NOT THE SON OF GOD HATH NOT LIFE.

This last statement is a logically valid statement to fully equate the two: A --> B AND ~A --> ~B.
Since the contrapositive of ~A --> ~B is  B --> A, then Yochanan gave us A --> B and B --> A, which tells us that A = B! They are EXACTLY IDENTICAL! "He who has the Son (of God)" IS EXACTLY "He who has life!"

YES, but those who do so do it because they allow ALLEGORICAL INTERPRETATION of the Bible to so generalize the Scriptures that they could be used to support ANYTHING they teach! We need to STRICTLY adhere to the Grammatical-Historical Method of Interpretation when it comes to interpreting the Scriptures! ONLY THEN are we assured that we will correctly understand the Scriptures!

These warnings only apply to one who is truly violating them.

Since Yeshua` (the Messiah or the "Christ") preached the "Gospel of the KINGDOM," THAT is "His Gospel," the "Messiah's Gospel" or "Christ's Gospel" or the "gospel of Christ." It's NOT the "gospel ABOUT the Christ"; it's the "gospel OF the Christ" or the "gospel" that CHRIST taught!

Mark 1:14-15 (KJV)

14 Now after that John (His herald) was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching (heralding) the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying,

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand (within your grasp): repent ye, and believe the gospel."

He didn't have to explain it to the Jews to whom He was speaking; He just said "repent ye (turn yourselves around 180 degrees) and believe the gospel (the good news you already know)!" And, what was that "gospel," that "good news?"

Isaiah 52:7 (KJV)

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation (rescue; deliverance); that saith unto Zion, THY GOD REIGNETH!

They read this passage of Scripture at least once every year, and it was frequently taught in their synagogues! That offer of the Kingdom was taken away from that generation because of their rejection of the LORD'S (YHWH'S) Messiah, His Anointed One to be God's Representative King, and was to be given to a future generation who would accept Him as the LORD'S Anointed!

The warning in the book of the Revelation of the Messiah Yeshua` is FOR the book of the Revelation of the Messiah Yeshua`. That warning is for anyone who would add to or take away from the book of Revelation!

Again, another WHOLE DIFFERENT SET OF PEOPLE!

You should ask yourself: "if we must know Hebrew to exist in the millennial kingdom then why was the NT written in Greek and not Hebrew?"

It doesn't appear to be difficult for the apostles to speak the mighty works of God in other languages:

Acts 2:7-11  And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilaeans?  (8)  And how hear we, every man in our own language wherein we were born?  (9)  Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,  (10)  in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,  (11)  Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God.

That being said; don't you think your short changing the power of the Holy Spirit to teach us all things in any language in any and every language that our Father created?:

Luke 24:45  Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;

John 14:26  But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.

1 John 2:20  And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Paul spoke at least two languages which would have been Greek and Hebrew and based on the way Acts 22:1-2 is structured, he spoke in Greek more often than Hebrew which would stand to reason since he was the apostle to the Gentiles:

Acts 22:1-2  Brethren and fathers, hear ye the defence which I now make unto you.  (2)  And when they heard that he spake unto them in the Hebrew language, they were the more quiet: and he saith,

1 Timothy 2:7-8  whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth, I lie not), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.  (8)  I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

Please don't think for a minute our Father who crewated all languages can not express His truth elloquently in all languages:

Isaiah 28:9-14  Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?  (10)  For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little.  (11)  Nay, but by men of strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;  (12)  to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.  (13)  Therefore shall the word of Jehovah be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.  (14)  Wherefore hear the word of Jehovah, ye scoffers, that rule this people that is in Jerusalem:

Because this Jerusalem is going to be made up of believers of every tongue and people:

Revelation 21:2  And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

Philippians 2:9-11  Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;  (10)  that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,  (11)  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Looking at their writings it seems very few of the 'church fathers' understood or could read Hebrew. Even Augustine only knew Latin and hated Greek. Yeshua and his disciples would have known Aramaic - the language of the day. Also Greek and Hebrew is apparent from the books they requote and refer to in their writings.

I think too many assumptions can lead us in paths that are not as straight as we might think.

Shabbat shalom, Moby! A good Shabbas to you!

Well, the reason why we FIND the NT written in Greek and not Hebrew or Aramaic is because of the Antisemitism of the Second and Third Centuries A.D! There was a great PURGE of all things Hebrew during that period in which they found and burnt every copy of the Bible, New Testament or Old, that was written in Hebrew, not to mention killing every person they found in their communities that were Jews or even had Israeli heritage! You will find this in the history told by the early church fathers.

Weren't all these disciples (more than just the twelve, btw) effectively TRANSLATORS? No, it wasn't difficult for them to speak in the other languages of the Roman world; however, they were still delivering Peter's message to them in their own tongues, making them translators of the Hebrew (or Aramaic) that Peter spoke. Notice that the Ruwach haQodesh Elohiym (the Holy Spirit of God) didn't give the HEARERS any special abilities!

No, I'm not short-changing the power of the Ruwach haQodesh to teach us; I AM, however, "calling a spade a spade" when dealing with human beings who are UNWILLING to submit to the Ruwach haQodesh's WISHES!

God could so bless every missionary who goes into the field. Does He? NO! He sends them to language schools, which can be just as much a benefit from God as direct tongues! We have no such promise for the Millennium that we will all be "given the miraculous power to speak and understand Hebrew!"  But, hey, what's 4 or 5 years in Hebrew school compared to a THOUSAND years?

Sure, Paul spoke at least THREE languages, which would have been Greek, Latin, and Hebrew (based also on the fact that he was a Roman citizen); however, so far as we know, he actually had to LEARN those languages! None of them were directly given to him by the Ruwach haQodesh, although God DID give him the ability to learn them!

Also, don't forget that, while saying that he was a teacher of the Gentiles, he also said that there was an ORDER to the telling:

Romans 2:5-11 (KJV)

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

And this letter was a later letter in his ministry.

We can see from several passages in Acts that his manner was to go to the Jews in a particular community BEFORE he went to the Gentiles in that same community. If the Gentiles were among the Jews in their synagogues, then they would hear WITH the Jews:

Acts 18:1-21 (KJV)

1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; 2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. 3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. 6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them,

"Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles!"

7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one (a Gentile) that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. 8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized. 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision,

"Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: 10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city."

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

12And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, 13 Saying,

"This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law!"

14 And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews,

"If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you: 15 But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters."

16 And he drave them from the judgment seat. 17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.

18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.

19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; 21 But bade them farewell, saying,

"I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will."

And he sailed from Ephesus.

That should be sufficient; however, know that there are other examples one could find in Acts.

Sure, He can. BUT, MUST He? Even in the Scripture you're quoting from Yesha`yahuw's ("Isaiah's") prophecy (which, again, is pulled out of context), verse 11 says, "by men of strange lips and with another tongue!" This, again, points to an INTERPRETER - a TRANSLATOR!

But, really, this passage of Scripture is talking to the "drunkards of Ephraim!" That's the NORTHERN kingdom! The 10 tribes who split off from Yhudah and Bin-Yamiyn!

I'm detecting that you are misreading verse 14:

It's not the "scoffers that rule this people"; it's "the word of Jehovah (YHWH) that rule this people!" The "ye scoffers" is an appositive phrase, speaking this truth to the drunkards of Efrayim!

Regarding Revelation 21:2, I'm with you! I understand that the Holy City, Yerushalayim haChadashah, will be populated by believers of every tongue and people! However, know that Philippians 2:9-11 starts a THOUSAND YEARS EARLIER than Yerushalayim haChadashah descends!

Remember, too, that "in the name" means "on the authority." It's a Hebraism. So, verse 10 is saying that "ON THE AUTHORITY of Yeshua` every knee should bow, of things above the skies (epouranioon) and above the lands (epigaioon) and under the grounds (katachthanioon), and that every language should confess that Yeshua` the Messiah is Master, to the brightness/fame of God the Father." This will also reflect backward to verse 9:

"Wherefore also God hath highly exalted Him, and gave to Him the authority which is above every authority;..." WHICH authority He will use when He returns to this earth:

Matthew 25:31-33 (KJV)

31 "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, THEN shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. ..."

31 "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, THEN shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. ..."

No where in the great commission or anywhere in the NT does Jesus or any of the other teachers even remotely hint to the need to teach anyone any other language other than the one they were presently speaking!

Authoring salvation in our hearts is to observe all that Jesus commanded and no where did He command us to learn Hebrew:

Matthew 28:18-20  And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.  (19)  Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:  (20)  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Hebrews 5:7-9  Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,  (8)  though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered;  (9)  and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
