Do you ever wonder why some of us are looking to stay or as you put it, 'be left behind'?

I will tell you why that is my desire.

I don't believe there has ever been or ever will be a time,  in which I, as a little created being, could SERVE GOD better.  Knowing all that God has done for us from the  very beginning, how much He loves us,  and how long suffering He has been, brings about a need, and a desire in me to do what ever I could for Him.  And if that means that I to must suffer for a little while,  to witness to even just one lost soul,  so that Gods Will may be done, it would be more than worth it.

I figure that what God is asking of me could never be worse that what He himself did, and HE did it WITHOUT having any sin.    I look to Jesus as an example set before me.  We are told

Hebrews 5:6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared;

Hebrews 5:8 Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered;

Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him;

When I return to God, because He has given me so much, I want to be as close to perfect as I can be.  I understand that my salvation comes through the infinite value of the blood of Christ, but my love for God leaves me no choice but to try as hard as I can to follow in the examples set before me.

We become better,  FOR GOD, through what we suffer in this world.  The world also

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

It is going to be a day of darkness when Satan is cast to this earth.  But we will be sent TWO witnesses to lead us.  I believe that it will be a time where God will be with us all the more, HE will be pouring His Spirit upon us.  Some will have the Holy Spirit speaking through them.  CAN you even imagine WHAT A GIFT THAT WOULD BE?  There will never be another time in which this will happen.  Is there any pain or suffering that would be so bad as to pass that up?  Nothing that hasn't happened to others.

 Paul wrote, and I have faith in these things
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

What is THE ONLY THING we can take with us?  OUR WORKS.  Think of all the works that will be accomplished during that time.  These are the things that will be used to  define who we will be for eternity.

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him:

2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, he also will deny us:

2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

AND there will be rewards for the work we do,

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

We have jobs to do, and will need to do them especially during those dark days

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

I have complete understanding  of and believe in the POWER OF GOD

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

I strive to live Godly in Christ

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

AND THIS IS MY GOAL

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The time rapidly approaching though it be troublesome, I see as a GIFT.  Sure it is a test, but it is a test I have studied for and am ready to take.  And with the passing of it are many great rewards.

It doesn't seem fair that you will not be afforded the chance to take so many great works with you to the eternal life.  Literally the blink of an eye and its over,  and forever and ever and ever those works follow you.  I hope to have many many works. I pray to endure to the end to receive the promises given to those who do.

Stay safe.

If you read the verse literally it is not adding or deleting from scripture. It simply means that God will take the true Christians out of this world before the 7 year tribulation.

No.

I got it from the Bible. Is there a better source?

Question: "What is the Tribulation? How do we know the Tribulation will last seven years?"

Answer:
The tribulation is a future seven-year period of time when God will finish His discipline of Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world. The church, made up of all who have trusted in the person and work of the Lord Jesus to save them from being punished for sin, will not be present during the tribulation. The church will be removed from the earth in an event known as the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53). The church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9). Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is referred to by other names such as the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:12; 13:6-9; Joel 1:15; 2:1-31; 3:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2); trouble or tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30; Zephaniah 1:1); the great tribulation, which refers to the more intense second half of the seven-year period (Matthew 24:21); time or day of trouble (Daniel 12:1; Zephaniah 1:15); time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7).
An understanding of Daniel 9:24-27 is necessary in order to understand the purpose and time of the tribulation. This passage speaks of 70 weeks that have been declared against “your people.” Daniel’s people are the Jews, the nation of Israel, and Daniel 9:24 speaks of a period of time that God has given “to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.” God declares that “seventy sevens” will fulfill all these things. This is 70 sevens of years, or 490 years. (Some translations refer to 70 weeks of years.) This is confirmed by another part of this passage in Daniel. In verses 25 and 26, Daniel is told that the Messiah will be cut off after “seven sevens and sixty-two sevens” (69 total), beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. In other words, 69 sevens of years (483 years) after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, the Messiah will be cut off. Biblical historians confirm that 483 years passed from the time of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the time when Jesus was crucified. Most Christian scholars, regardless of their view of eschatology (future things/events), have the above understanding of Daniel’s 70 sevens.

With 483 years having passed from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the cutting off of the Messiah, this leaves one seven-year period to be fulfilled in terms of Daniel 9:24: “to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.” This final seven-year period is known as the tribulation period—it is a time when God finishes judging Israel for its sin.

Daniel 9:27 gives a few highlights of the seven-year tribulation period: “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ’seven.' In the middle of the ’seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” The person of whom this verse speaks is the person Jesus calls the “abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15) and is called “the beast” in Revelation 13. Daniel 9:27 says that the beast will make a covenant for seven years, but in the middle of this week (3 1/2 years into the tribulation), he will break the covenant, putting a stop to sacrifice. Revelation 13 explains that the beast will place an image of himself in the temple and require the world to worship him. Revelation 13:5 says that this will go on for 42 months, which is 3 1/2 years. Since Daniel 9:27 says that this will happen in the middle of the week, and Revelation 13:5 says that the beast will do this for a period of 42 months, it is easy to see that the total length of time is 84 months or seven years. Also see Daniel 7:25, where the “time, times, and half a time” (time=1 year; times=2 years; half a time=1/2 year; total of 3 1/2 years) also refers to “great tribulation,” the last half of the seven-year tribulation period when the beast will be in power.

For further references about the tribulation, see Revelation 11:2-3, which speaks of 1260 days and 42 months, and Daniel 12:11-12, which speaks of 1290 days and 1335 days. These days have a reference to the midpoint of the tribulation. The additional days in Daniel 12 may include the time at the end for the judgment of the nations (Matthew 25:31-46) and time for the setting up of Christ’s millennial kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6).

In summary, the Tribulation is the 7-year time period in the end times in which humanity’s decadence and depravity will reach its fullness, with God judging accordingly.

Mostly made up. Scripture says nothing about a 7 year tribulation at the end of the age. Jesus says great tribulation will occur after the A of D. Never does Jesus say a single word about a 7 year 'tribulation', nor does anyone else.

This pretrib garbage is faithless.

Revelation 3:10 tells you that those who are true believers in Jesus Christ will not experience the 7 year tribulation. If you read a literal interpretation of scripture.

Revelation 3:10 could easily just be the same as this.

Rev 11:5-6 5And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

These 2 witnesses or groups of people have nothing to worry about being tested. They are already tested and prophesying for God.  You do not need to leave the earth to be safe.  Faith in God and his plan for you keeps you safe.

Back to the topic on hand,

This has led me to think of this verse:

Matt 22;12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Also I am led to these verses:

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

2Cor 3:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

John 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

To me the Holy Spirit is the Amour of God.  If we have God's Holy Spirit then we have nothing to fear and nothing can stop us.

Now a personal note:  I hear all these Christians say they have God's Holy Spirit and have nothing to worry about.  Can anyone prove that?  Do they have the miracles and powers of the apostles?  I have seen no one.  Myself I have felt God's presence my whole life even when I stray.  Sometimes in the past when I strayed I felt God's presence most.  I swear at times I used the 10 commandments as a checklist.   Can I say I have God's Spirit dwell in me?  Certainly not like the apostles did.

For now I am patient and by faith I wait what God has for me.

If we all have God's spirit as Paul spoke of then why do I read this in revelation.

Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

These being sealed are God's 144,000 servants.  They are referred to as virgins and walk with Christ and are the first to arrive back on the earth with Christ.  Why are they just being sealed just before the tribulation.  Just a thought.

Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

God Bless,
