Hey David, how is it going? Here is a hint(i know, this sounds like the mormons).. but pray to God. I know you have already as you said it before, but pray that God would show you the truth of his word, and dont' doubt that he won't. Trust the God will show you the truth :)

It can be hard to just simply trust God at his word and want to say that there is a fault.. sometimes it is easier to just say that there are errors in the bible. Once you start saying there are errors in the bible, one automatically gives themself the right to pick and choose for God's Holy Word. It can be difficult at first to just simply trust the Lord at his word. Sometimes the thing that is harder to do, is what is right. Trust God.

Hey, KL:

I've been praying and praying. And two things keep popping in. DaVinci Code and Gnostic. And, now that you mention it, the Book of Mormon.

Hey, brandplucked;

Just to let you know. I believe that G-d's word is complete. It's what man has done with it, ommited from it, and just plain messed up, that I have issues with.

Well, I am sorry you don't have cable to see the Dicovery Channel program on the DaVinci Code - really, the only evidence the man could fins was that the conclusions were all made up. The DaVinci Code is a fable.

As for the Gnostics - Paul's letter to the Colossians and I John both were written from the perspective of refuting Gnosticism. If you know what Gnostics preached, and then you read those two letters (books), you can see how both are answering the challenges Gnosticism gave. Both apostles completely refutted Gnosticism.

The easiest thing to do is to link you to a page that describes it:

Hi Mikado, If you believe God's word is complete, and that men have messed them up, then please tell us WHERE this complete word of God is today. Is there a Book here on this earth that contains all of God's pure words as He promised? Can you tell us where we can get a copy of it?

I have one thing to say.. I believe that the bible is the whole and complete word of God.. and in my own opinion and experiences I believe that the newer "versions of the bible" are not God's pure word and they changed around what he said. The bible was inspired by God and these new translations are what men think God meant when he said.. well, what he said. This is not meant for a debate on the differnt versions of the bible, but that is where i stand with the KJV and the pure word of GOd...

Now that i have said that, i can go on to answer your question Mikado.  God said in Pslams that he would preserve his word and that it would be tried as silver and gold seven times.. God said he would preserve his word, and if he didn't, that woudl make him a liar.  God is not a liar.  Therefore, yes, God has preserved his word throughout time and will continue to preserve his as he has from the beginnnng(in the beginnign was the word and the word was God, and the word was with God). There are versions of the bible.. some that are even corrupted with the sins of this world such as homosexuality and other sexual sins.. and thigns that are immoral... GOd preserved his word.. most definitly..

However, one must ask the Lord for discernmetn as to which is his true word and which should be followed to the fullest...

:emot-handshake:  :emot-questioned:  :noidea:  :36:  :36:     *sticks foot in mouth again before gets in trouble for going off on a tangent*

Amen Keith :36: :36: Amen...

As I said many times before.

I wish I knew where G-d's complete word is.

In a single book, movie, or any other form.

Perhaps I am wrong. And G-d's word is out there in complete form. Or I am partially correct and parts have yet to be discovered. Or fully right. That HIS WORD is out there. And it's a case of what man has done with it, ommited from it, and just plain messed up. Who knows? I ask for peoples thoughts one way or another. Not the derision I seem to ocassionally encounter. By just bringing to light certain things that some folks believe. Wether consiously or not. But even you have to agree that man perverts HIS word in many a horrible manner.

ok... hey.. i'll say this one last time and I'll be through unless something else comes up on this thread...

God said he would preserve his word.. if he didn't preserve his word then he is a liar.. my God is not a liar... he preserved his word..

Where can you find his word? Go to the store and buy and KJV bible.. (ok... this could turn into a debate ...) I believe that the KJV is the errant, infallible word of God  Another thing, the KJV is the only bible without a copyright(hmmm.. just something to ponder). Many years ago, there was a man named King James. God laid it on his heart to gather the best scholars to translate the original bible into English. To learn more about this, i woudl suggest you look it up online. Anyways, God said he woudl preserve His word. He did that then by having his word translated into what woudl be come the most well-known/spoken language in the world. Today, the bible is in many differnet languages. He preserved his word and this is how.

You want GOd's word? Go to a bookstore and pick up a KJV. Say that man has preverted his word by translations? Stick with the KJV( I am sorry, i am feel strongly for this :taped:. I call it the tride and true :taped: God preserved his word.

Most importantly....

I repeat... most importantly....

pray about it and ask for discernmetn as to what is right and wrong...

Pray that God woudl give you surety that his word is whole and pure as he said it was

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
