Who exactly was Mohammed...who is he a decendant of?

Is he anywhere in the Bible? I am currently reading the Bible cover to cover and I am understanding where most beleifs (different religions) are coming from although I am not finished (I'm in Proverbs now) I have yet to see where Mohammed comes into the picture...

Mohammed was the man who started the religion of Islam, based upon some visions that he claimed God gave to him. Those visions were supposedly written down and compiled in a book called the Koran. According to Islam Mohammed is God's prophet.

While I can't remember his testimony word for word, there was a man who spoke at my church last August. He was a Muslim who had become a Christian. He had explained some things that Muslims believe regarding Muhammed.

I wish I could remember it exactly but, this is what I can remember.....

Muhammed was a decendent of Kedar. Kedar was the second born son of Ishmael.

Ishmael was the firstborn son of Abraham (by Hagar the handmaid of Sarah).

Because Ishmael was the firstborn, Muslims consider him more important than Isaac and it goes from there.....Oh how I wish I could remember exactly how he had put it! I'll see if I can get that information from him.

His testimony was very powerful. My son gave his life to the Lord after listening to this man.

Islam tries to legitimize their religion by claiming it has ties to Christianity. Islam changes the bible, changes who Jesus is. When they bring up Ishmael, they do not have him sent into the desert. They claim Isaac is a usurper.

The point is that they deny the Lords promise to Abraham. They deny the deity and sacrifice of Jesus. They deny the atonement that Jesus made for us. All throughout the islam religion and the quran, Gods truths are denied.

When Mohammed first received his "revelation" from the "angel", one who roughly shoved him into the dirt, Mohammed thought he was visited by demons. He was scared and hid at home for a bit. His wife at the time convinced him he otherwise. Since the quran says the word of a woman is worth half that of a man, then why did he believe her and not his own opinion?

In my opinion, islam is of demonic origin.

I would not take it that far. Islam is far worse to Judaism, than Mormanism is to Christianity. I don't see Mormons calling for the blood of Christians.

Islam has no ties to Judaism. They are like night and day. Islam is a blood thirsty violent religion bent upon one day making the world Islam either by conversion or by the sword. Judaism has no such aspirations.
