They raised the specter of fear of this virus which while it is very contagious the survival rate is very high (unless you are in certain risk groups) and now they are using that fear to modify our behavior and we are letting them do that. While we had similiar symptoms of a normal flu shot, no other problems have risen. I have lost two friends and several others have been hospitalized and my sister in law has been sick with it and remaining problems since last march. If we need a third shot to cover the changing virus, I personally don't have a problem with it. If you want to chance the virus itself, knock yourself out. I am not one to force you into doing anything. Many of my friends at church are conservitives and had taken the idea that our freedoms were being attacked. Here in Oklahoma we did not do the hard shutdowns that a lot of places did. Long story short, after the baby shower, as is custom there was a meal served.... everyone who took thier masks off to eat got the virus. The whole church staff got sick and our pastors wife still isn't over it. My best friend spent weeks in the Hospital and I was twice told he probably would not live through the night.. He will never be the same. People I've met at coffee and weekly meetings are having trouble carrying on a conversation for they loose words. We stopped having live services after that but it was our decision.... Every person I personally know that has had that, "They can't take my freedoms." attitude and has themselves or family or friends end up in the hospital no longer talk about loosing freedoms from this virus. We don't have to lock ourselves away, but we do need to be very cautious in how we get around and live.... I could spend some time to show you the numbers that this is not a minor thing but most freedom preachers as I would call them have decided the numbers are faked anyway. And my friends and family who are part of the Health Department could not change your minds so I won't bother... Just know that this virus is not nature. No one has even mentioned this whole time that the flu is lurking out there. What makes the Corona virus so special?
