Jubilee Fellowship to hold open house at Lexington site

Jubilee Fellowship describes itself as Christ-centered, spirit-filled, Bible-based and open and affirming.

In other words, it's a Pentecostal-style, gay-friendly church, and it's coming to Lexington.

The Rev. Cori Wood, the new congregation's pastor, is a fervent, tongues-speaking, Scripture-quoting preacher.

She's also a lesbian.

When she's not speaking about homosexuality, Wood sounds like thousands of other conservative preachers. She teaches that the Bible is God's word, Jesus is the only way to salvation, hell is real, and the Second Coming is imminent. She's anti-abortion, too.

"Probably with most of my evangelical brothers and sisters in this town, we would agree on 99 percent," she said. "I believe it grieves the heart of God that that 1 percent keeps us from being able to worship together and serve together."

How, how, how can you be saved, filled with the spirit and believe God's word, and still be a lesbian?

I just don't get it. They must choose what to read and believe, because if they read the whole word and believed the whole word, I think they would see that they are in sin.

I really pray that the Lord will open the blinded eyes and they will have a true revelation of his word.

If they are teaching from the Bible ...this could end up being a good thing. If they sincerely want to find God, perhaps they will. I say let the Bible be preached in this gay gathering. God loves every one of them.

I heard just recently there are actually some clergy that are denying there is a God. How can one call himself a clergy and not believe in God??? Yet it is happening today just as the Lord said it would. In the last days there would be a great falling away.

The only word that comes to mind for such is Ichabod.

Makes me want to cry. Our God is so very good. And He is a holy God who wants us to be holy.

Keep on keeping on. Jesus is coming soon. We don't know the day, nor the hour, but we do know soon. :-)

My half sister goes to a Church of homosexuals and their families. It is entirley made up of just them.

Like many pro-gay theologians, Wood says the verses have been misinterpreted or were written by people who didn't fully understand sexual orientation.

This proves that they do NOT regard the Holy Scriptures as inerrant.

The entire purpose of the Church is to guide the lost to Christ and lead all men (and women) to repentence, not endorse sin of any kind.

You get online to find the best hotel rates...anyway hubby and I were sitting there watching tv lastnight and it came on...this time it was advertising that Orbitz offered great rates on "gay friendly" hotels. With two men looking for rates on hotels...holding hands hugging and rubbing each other

My jaw dropped...I don't know why it surprised me though.
