On YouTube and in churches, they are backlit with moving stage lights, music playing, shouting into a sound system, being recorded, whipping the audience into response, waving their arms around, squinting their faces, imbuing God's name, enlarging every particular component of their speech with overstatement.

Does the authentic Word of God need all of this sales pitching, or just plain utterance?

Then nothing of their prophecy specifically occurs in the future having the significance they assigned to it, regardless of how many people believed God in faith for it.

All of this speaks folly.

Seductive folly. And then there are the episcopalians with their robes, rituals, and religious pageantry.

At least the episcopalians are not presuming to prophesy.  And I doubt they sport tacky salon hair.  And rambling personal histories.  Lol.

It's showbiz, baby! Anyone of these guys, and women, would be at home on stage of the Price is Right. Of course the gig on the Price is Right isn't as lucrative as selling God to the masses.

They aren't prophets of God, they seek profits from God. It's all glitz and glamor and motivational teaching. A heavy dose of inclusivity abolishes any hint of condemnation and viola, the money rolls in!

I listened to a couple on social media prophecy an event for about a year. The said event was to happen in the next two weeks, then the next two weeks, then the next month, etc. The event never happened, of course. They didn't lose followers, they gained followers. Quickly they were able to print graphic tees and offer them for sale from all the donations that poured in, because they hawked for the money.

You would think this kind of mental and emotional abuse would turn people off. Well, not the when the message is what the people want to hear. The masses will endure the worst abuses if the words sound right and good and pleasing.

The false prophets are bold because the people want to be falsely prophesied to.

We Love It!

I guess you all are following this verse:

Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

What if Trump is back in office by this time next year (what the prophets are saying will happen)? Will you all repent?

How Trustworthy Are The Current Prophets?

Regrettably, most of them are false. And this isn't surprise:

Mat 24:11  -> "And many false prophets will rise and deceive many."

Act 20:29,30 -> "For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also men shall arise from your own selves, speaking perverse things in order to draw disciples away after them."

1Ti 4:1-3  -> "But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience, forbidding to marry, saying to abstain from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth."

2Pe 2:1  -> "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of. And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep. "

2Pe 2:18,19 -> "For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were escaping from those who live in error; promising them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been enslaved."

Read Josephus' Wars.

Then read about Darby and Scofield.

You might see something there...

These phonies are the reason why the Lord will once again shake the earth, so that those things that are (man) made will be shaken out, while those things that are not man made (true faith) may remain. The Lord has just begun shaking the earth again. Expect a commencing shakeout falling away from those phony man made faiths soon.

Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
