In my humble opinion, I feel the UN is necessary and needed.

There needs to be a governing body to keep super-powers like the US in check. Just because the US military can, it should not be allowed to invade and conquer any country it feels is an inconvenience.

Good ole George Bush has it all wrong. The UN should have the final say in global matters such as invading and conquering countries. The UN is not there for George Bush to push around and control. Unfortunately, he knows he is the leader of the most powerful country, and he can bully anyone and do whatever he wants...and nothing or anyone...including the UN can stop him.

We, as a global community need the UN to ensure peace and harmony. Instead of belittling the UN, we should be praying and supporting its members.

uuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh peanuts are you from the U.S.A.??????? YA know what really bugs me???? THE fact that WE { arrogant, prideful,TOO wealthy,} AMERICANS sure as heck SAVED EUROPE,FRANCE,ENGLAND AND all the rest of the world NOT ONCE BUT TWICE from TOTAL annihilation... those are facts--- AND one more FACT----

the only country to pay US {as in U.S.A.} back one single cent was greenland---ALL the rest of europe has NEVER EVEN OFFERED ONE SINGLE SOLITARY CENT to pay us back----Except to criticize,& demean us every chance they get---BUT just as soon as they feel threatened guess who they call on--BEGGING us TO save their fat BUTTOCKS again--------{Gary}--- :D;)

I trust no one: the UN, the US Government, none. I believe all of them are full

of corruption and deceit that they don't want to tell about. I am of no side in

this matter, except for God's side.

God bless you all.

I think the UN should just let America pay to repair all the damage they have done themselves and stay out of Iraq. The UN going in there lends way too much legitimacy to the whole thing and they should stick to their guns (figure of speech) of not backing the invasion. The fact that they are going is is either because they fear that America won't do the job properly or they are doing it for advantage and to kiss up to the world bully superpower. I suspect that probably it's a little of both. Sooner or later someone is going to stand up and challenge America's worldwide dominance, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

At the conclusion of the first Gulf War, the United States, when signing the cease-fire documents, retained the rights to continue the conflict in the event that Iraq failed to comply with UN resolutions. For 12 years the Saddam regime harrassed inspectors, fired upon Allied aircraft patrolling the (UN sanctioned) no-fly zones, and attempted to violate the (UN sanctioned) embargo on oil exports. Seems to me that patience wears thin after a time, and 12 years is more than enough time to see that the UN has failed to serve the world community by it's non-action on Iraq, just more blustering, hand wringing, and speeches. Kind of reminds me of another worthless organization - The League of Nations

Right! In other words, they set them up for long term American domination in exchange for peace and then never gave them any.

For 12 years the Saddam regime harrassed inspectors, fired upon Allied aircraft patrolling the (UN sanctioned) no-fly zones, and attempted to violate the (UN sanctioned) embargo on oil exports.

And if the shoe was on the other foot America would most likely do the same thing. Of course they don't have to because they can make other countries toe the line through deployment of weapons of mass destruction.

Seems to me that patience wears thin after a time

Patience? You yourself know that the first war against Iraq never really ended and a million and a half or so Iraqi's paid the price for American geopolitical hedgemony.

the UN has failed to serve the world community by it's non-action on Iraq, just more blustering, hand wringing, and speeches.

By this of course you mean they didn't agree with the unjustified (and lied about) need for war and the needless suffering of the Iraqi people.

Kind of reminds me of another worthless organization - The League of Nations

No, you're wrong there. Remember, it was the UN resolution that was the first justification for the war, but in another sense you're right since America just uses the UN when it suits it's purpose and then blocks other useful endeavors because it would put pressure on itself or it's allies (Israel) to comply with international law and UN resolutions.

I have a solution to all your American troubles, Idolsmasher. Move to one of these muslim countries you are so protective of and spew your bile out on the streets. Try it for a while and I promise you that you will be begging the US officials to rescue you from one of their jails. Just simply walk up to anyone on the street and preach the Word of Jesus and see how welcoming they are.

Something tells me you enjoy your freedom without thinking too much about how it came to you in the first place.

Am I wrong?

In Christ,

Sorry bubba, I ain't a Yank!

Freedom is an illusion, a nice tool to propagandise the masses. There are only varying degrees of servitude and obeisiance. My allegiance is to God, not an illusionary patriotic ideal of so called freedom. It is only the Truth that sets us free.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
