Need Scripture References..

Hi.. Ok first.. I'm not looking for anyone's "opinion" , unless you can back it by scripture.. . I'm looking for scripture references to prove these things below:

1. Last Day Revival -- all I find is a great falling away and deception and false teachings and false prophets abounding everywhere...

2. When a pastor annoints you with oil while praying over you.. and the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be "Slain in the spirit" or fall backwards..and especially accompanied by what appears to be an epiliptic seizure of sorts .. or a trance.. and then you wake up and don't remember anything.. Can't find it ..

3. The taking over of you by the Holy Spirit to do "odd" things out of your own control.. .. and they call it.. the Holy Spirit coming upon you.. or a move of God .. like dancing or laughing or jumping or whatever..it may be ... apparently there is no limits to what the Holy Spirit can "make" you do once it takes you over.. This actually sounds pretty scary to me.. I can't find it in the bible... or am I just misunderstanding what they mean.. because

I have danced around my own kitchen before praising the Lord in complete joy and love.. and I have also been brought to my knees in repentance or in great awe.... but I certainly had control.. is this what they mean by being taken over by the spirit? (opinions welcome on this one)

4. Where in the bible does it say. Jesus became one with satan and went to hell for three days and then rose again ?

5. Where does it say that we become "like God" when we are born again.. I really only found in Gensis where satan told Eve.. that she will be "like God" if she ate the fruit and sinned.. .. it didnt say that Adam was already created "like God" just in his image.. is there something I am missing?

6. Where in the bible does it say that if I make a "sacrificial love gift" to a big ministry all my debt will be wiped out and I'll never have any more troubles?

7. What scriptures teaches about that special prayer language you get when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit.. because I have asked God to baptise me in the Holy Spirit a gazillion times to get this prayer language and I still don't have it.. nothing has ever happend to me.. I mean.. I pretended for a while.. but decided there is no sense pretending to God..

Is there something wrong with me that I should know about as to why I can't speak in this special prayer language.. and everyone else can ???? I read taht Paul said its not important.. if this is so.. why does everyone make it sound like your not a Christian if you don't speak in tongues.. is this one of those last day deceptions in the church?

Ok I had a hunch that might be the case.. but ya know I am told satan is decieving me and blinding me from the truth...

... well I did have another quesiton that referred to Benny and others, but was apprehensive on asking it.. but it was..

Why do all the Christians around me love Benny Hinn, Rod Parsley, Paul Crouch.. etc..go out of their way to go see them when they come to town or make special trips and just think they are soooooooooo annointed.. but when I look at these men I get the same feeling in the pit of my stomach as I get when I look at a picture of Freddy Krugar..

You seem to be being led by the Truth , the Holy Spirit. In the last days, and I believe we are in them,Yeshua said beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. Also. that there would be "lying" signs and wonders and "false annointings"

I was caught up in all that until I started actually reading the scriptures for myself and found out the same things which you posted. Many are being decieved. Many are seeking what makes their flesh feel good. Many of my friends would say I cant wait to get to those meetings to "catch the next wave" or to get the annointing" or for the" Holy Spirit to fall", but we as the body of Yeshua should already be indwelled with the Spirit and should walk in it everyday.

No need to catch it, or get the annointing when we as scripture says should be walking in the annointing daily.

I have heard people bark like dogs, run around the church pews and trip over people laying on the floor, others thrashing back and forth and others shaking out of control. If some unbeliever were to walk in, it would scare them to death.

Paul said let all things be in order when in a corporate setting. No more than 2-3, in turn speaking in tongues and with an interperter. How plain is that?

Now I believe in the gifts as put forth in scripture, I too, being baptized in the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. But its not for a show or circus or entertainment.

Christianity has become "big business" in this country. We have turned our sanctuaries into "a den of theives and robbers". People say, well it takes a lot of money for people like Rod Parsley, Benny Hinn, ect to "spread the gospel message", but mostly what I hear being preached is the feel good, properity message and nothing of dying to self(picking up our own cross) holiness, purity, sin, hell, ect..

So, do not let anyone tell you that you are on the wrong track. Just keep in His word, working out your own salvation with fear and trembling and you wont go wrong. Shalom

Hope you'll stick around worthy! Nice to meet you! Lot's of nice people on this board...and though we do disagree sometimes...we pretty much all hold to the central doctrines of the faith...

I guess most of us are just trying to iron out the wrinkles and grow in grace, faith, and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!!

Anyone catch Rod Parsley on Larry King a couple nights ago? Larry asked him the same thing, about all the fancy hotel rooms and private airplanes and Rod told him that "A workman was worth his wages."

Also I have gotten the creeps from Copeland for years! That TBN is a freak show, and I am not trying to desparage, but that is the only way I can describe it, it is such a black smear on the Name of the Holy one! It breaks my heart when I think of the lost tuning in and thinking that is what G-d and JEsus are all about. Yes, Jesus is L-RD! But I believe he would be too embarrased to go sit on one of their golden "throne" chairs. Makes the Burger King look honorable.
