This post addresses two points from a message I heard on Saturday on the radio.
I feel it's important to expose the false notion that we do not have to actually follow Christ.

-------

Many want to teach that Ananias and his wife died and went straight to heaven.
Being "sent home prematurely".

If that was the case it means that they died for their own sin,
paying the sacrifice price for their own sin by death, and arriving in heaven.

And I hope that you can see dear ones that that simply can not be the case.

The only possible way anything like that could be is if upon death they did not go to heaven,
but rather went to Hades, and during Revelation 20:13-15 they are some of the ones that when Hades releases its dead,
they would be found in the book of life, but right now, and since their death,
they've been in Hades being punished fairly for their sin.  ...

It simply can not be that they died for their own sin and then straight away went to heaven.

"He that knew the right thing to do and did not do it, will be beaten with many stripes" Luke 12:47

-------

 ... .... I've made a post about it already, and it has been my message for a long time now;

All false teachers will lead you away from the specific teachings of Christ in one way or another.

The teachings of Christ are for now, not the future,
Paul said:  "Bless them which persecute you, bless and curse not" Romans 12:14, which directly mirrors Matthew 5:44.

Paul said love is what is most important; Romans 13:8-9, 1 Corinthians 13, Galatians 5:6,14-24.
And that is the message that Christ preached, all His 'kingdom' rules are about sincerely loving others:

If you know someone has something against you try to make it right, turn the other cheek, give, love even your enemies.

Yes, I've said it, and I'll keep saying it, anyone leading you to disregard those teachings is a false teacher,
the more blatantly, and repeatedly, they lead you away from the teachings of Jesus, is the worse they are.

Any sincerely Christian radio station should immediately take such programming off the air.

Matthew 5:17-19 is mistranslated in most modern Bibles.
The king James is his 'authorized' version, that is, the version he authorized the public to see,
with all new testament 'Joshua's replaced with 'Jesus' and twistings and mistranslations.

The context always makes the correct translation shine through however.

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill...
Therefore, if anyone breaks even the smallest part of the law, and teaches men so,
he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven."

[and so Paul calls himself least, as he specifically taught that the Torah is no longer imporant, rather living by the love Christ taught is]
"But whoever will do and teach the whole law, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
[notice that both are still nevertheless, in, the kingdom of heaven, so right here we see that indeed,
following the whole Torah is not required for entrance into the kingdom, Jesus is about to preach what is required for entry!]
"But unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees,
you will by no means enter into the kingdom of heaven."

He goes on to explain what He means:

"You have heard that is has been said, thou shalt not commit murder..
but I say unto you that whoever is angry with his brother for no reason
shall be in danger of the judgement..
Therefore if you bring your gift to the alter and remember that your brother has something
against you, first be reconciled to your brother then come and offer your gift."

"You have heard that it was said; thou shalt not commit adultery,
But I say unto you, if you look on a woman to lust after her,
you have already committed adultery with her in your heart."

Thereby we understand how our righteousness must exceed;
it must be an internal righteousness, not just external like the scribes and pharisees !

That is what is being preached; the good news; God is most concerned about our internal state of mind,
rather than the external giving of gifts to Him, and external keeping of the law, washings, foods, and whatnot.

"In conclusion; whatsoever ye would that men should do to you,
do you even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets"

Matthew 7:12

That's the summary of everything He taught on the mountain.

"And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He taught as one with authority" Matthew 7:28

That's His 'doctrine' that John refers to in 2 John:

"Whoever disobeys the Torah, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God,
whoever abides in the doctrine of Christ, has both the Father and the Son"
2 John 1:9

I hope that you can see that that is good news. (600 laws, down to pretty much 1)

Therefore:

"If anyone comes to you preaching, and does not bring this doctrine,
do not invite him into your house, neither give him a greeting,
for if you give him a greeting you are partaker of his evil deeds"
2 John 1:10

"he that has my commands and keeps them, he it is that loves me" John 14:21-24

[He is Not referring to all the commands in the Bible, but rather to His specific teachings: Matthew 5 through 7, Luke 6, John 15:12.
It's good news, other misguided (not necessarily false) teachers will take such passages and turn it into bad news,
having it to refer to all the commands in the Bible, when very clearly it refers to just the teachings of Christ.]

"If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let that person be anathema, Oh Lord Come!" 1 Corinthians 16:22

"Christ died for all, that they which live, should henceforth not live unto themselves,
but unto Him that died for them, and rose again"
2 Corinthians 5:15

"If anyone teaches otherwise, and consents not to wholesome words, even to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and to the doctrine that is according to godliness, he is proud knowing nothing"
1 Timothy 6:3-4

The words of our Lord Jesus Christ, that are both His words and the doctrine according to godliness,
are the words He taught in His sermon on the mount; Matthew 5 through 7, Luke 6:27-49.

"Why call ye me Lord Lord, and do not the things that I say?"

Understand that when we stand before Him, all He will be saying are things He already said.

"Therefore, He that rejects me, and does not receive my words, has one that judges him,
the words that I have spoken, the same will judge him on the last day."
John 12:48

"Why call ye me Lord Lord, and do not the things that I say?"

"Go ye into all the world and teach all nations,
(yes) baptizing them in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost,
teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you"
  <<<

Matthew 28:19-20

That is the whole of the great commission, anyone not doing such, is not fulfilling it, don't be fooled by them therefore.

-------

John 12:48 + John 14:21-24 + Matthew 28:19-20 + 1 Corinthians 16:22 + 2 Corinthians 5:15 + 1 Timothy 6:3-4

Together those passages make clear that the teachings of Christ are not just for the Jews,
that they are for all the world to practice now.
And that sincere Christians do know His teachings and practice them.

"he that has my commands and keeps them, he it is that loves me"

"Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us Jews and not to the world?"

"He replied; he that has my commands and keeps them, he it is that loves me"

"Go ye into all the world...
"teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you"

"Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?"  1 Corinthians 1:13

"If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let that person be anathema, Oh Lord come!"  1 Corinthians 16:22

"Christ died for all, that they which live should henceforth not live unto themselves,
but unto Him that died for them and rose again"
2 Corinthians 5:15

The way we live for a person is by doing what that person says.

What Christ has said for sure, we have record of in the Bible.

"My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me" John 10:27

Therefore let our minds be set on actually following Christ.

They lied before the Holy Spirit, they were struck down and judged and went to hell.

It was a lie they did not have to tell, no one forced them, but they sought to curry favor of the apostles and lied.

Such judgment cannot escaped.   The death of a guilty man does not redeem, it merely balances the books,  And we are all guilty. Only Jesus was innocent and it is his shed blood that redeems us.

May I suggest you write, email,Twitter etc both the radio station and the preacher to point how the false teaching being presented.

If they continue to preach falsehood, tell them you are no longer following that station and let other Christians know.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
