Greetings,

Born again.

Baptised in water.

Baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Why do you think we need to be born again, baptised in water and receive the Holy Spirit? What is the purpose between them?

Being born again, I think, is the realization and acceptance of God as our king. I think the water baptism might be symbolic of our experiences, thoughts, and emotions. The Holy Spirit, I believe, is God himself, when he is communicating with us.

I like to think of the secret place that David mentioned in his Psalms. Colossians 3 says to look at the hidden things in heaven not on earth and says that our life is hidden there with Christ in God. Is this secret place in our hearts? Is it joy and peace? I dont yet know but it puts a smile on my face thinking about it.

amen that is so true it reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5.17 when it says if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things have become new.

Isn't it amazing how the creator of the universe, took time out to be concerned about our insignificant lives and removed our past history and gave us a clean slate to begin our journey of trail and error.

We were chosen by the Lord before the world was made, ordained by God to be conformed to the image of His Son. This is our salvation in Jesus Christ for all things are finished in the sight of the Almighty who knows the end from the beginning.

As the scripture testifies there is an appointed time for every matter under heaven; just as it pleased our Father in heaven to send His Son to be born to a woman under the Law (the Word made flesh), it pleases the Lord to reveal Himself to us in the fullness of time.

Yes, there is a transition. I think of this transition as walking in the knowledge and will of His Spirit. When the Spirit of God came to me when I was close to death, the Lord was pleased to reveal Himself. This was that work which God ordained to display in me. He promised that I would never taste death; He would restore that which was taken from me in a measure exceeding the first. This was so Christ might be glorified, for there was another who bore witness to these things.

She belonged to Him and this was also for her sake, so she might believe.

When my healing was complete according to the promise the Lord lifted me up and completed that transition, baptizing me with fire and Spirit.

amen wow that is amazing testimony, when i read or hear that God knows the end from the beginning there are so many questions that cross my mind as to why this and what about that.

But then i am comforted by another scripture that says be still and know that I am God it helps to put away my concerns and reminds me he has our best interests at heart. Psalms 46.10 (my grand daughters name is Psalms).

This is something all three of us --- you, @Aries2020, and myself --- share in common. There are many more, sister. Over the years I've been blessed to meet brothers and sisters with a testimony like ours. This bears witness to the following truth, something we find expressed throughout the scriptures:

The Lord God Almighty refines us like silver in the furnace and tries us like gold is tried. Thus we are always learning and growing, being conformed to the image of the One who chose us by His Spirit from glory to glory. The Lord is the Potter and we are clay in His hand, to do with as He sees fit.

I look and see others undergoing the fiery trial and tribulation, and I remember what it was like to walk in their shoes. I thought the Lord hated me! Surely He despises me for all I can do is wrong and fall flat upon my face over, and over again. I couldn't comprehend what was taking place, so what would I have said to the one who came to me in my affliction and proclaimed,

"Rejoice, for the Lord loves you like no other!"

I might have said, "Huh? Are you daft? Are bats loose in your belfry? The Lord doesn't love me, He hates me!" :)

Amen and amen that reminds of a story in 1986 when I was tested the entire day.

My car broke down near work when I returned it had been hit and the driver had left there was about $800 dollars’ worth of damage, I dint have any insurance.

When I opened my car door some had left a business card inside the driver’s window that said I saw who hit your car call me.

The mechanic that towed my car just around the corner replaced my stater motor and over charged me.

When I questioned his excessive bill, he went ballistic and beat me up.

I called the number on the card and the man worked at a carburettor business just around the corner he told what he saw and gave me the registration number of the car.

I went and reported it to the police but they said there’s not much they could do, but they gave me the address and said go and see the owner of the car.

I went to the address found the car with the registration plate, and there was not one scratch on it or any damage I thought that’s going to be hard to prove this vehicle hit my vehicle and left.

As I was driving home on the freeway, I put my foot down and my back right tire began to strip the tread off the tire so I pulled over.

I called the freeway service number who sent a guy out but he said do you have stranded wheel nuts as this is a mag wheel and the nuts won’t fit your spare tire I said no.

I had to limp home with the car in that condition, but I finally made it home.

Finally, I walked up to the front door it was really late and when I opened the fly screen door the mechanism above the door that closes the door when you let it go, just fell apart.

Then I went inside had a quick prayer said thanks for the day, and had the best sleep.

So that day of trials and tribulations stands out for me lol.

To draw it all together in a manner befitting the topic, the relationship defines the difference between our ignorance and the knowledge of His Spirit. When I didn't understand the chastisement and discipline of the Lord, I despaired of living because I was convinced of my failure in Christ.

And then I learned how mistaken I was because I labored in my own ignorance. Discipline is never pleasant when it is received; it's only afterward when that fruit which is pleasing to God appears that we begin to understand.

The fiery trial and tribulation are far from over: after one ends the next begins. What's the difference between then and now? I walk in the knowledge of His Spirit and so the Lord reveals the trial to come.

amen i have learnt no matter what condition i am in, to just be content and say praise the Lord i have no other recourse besides that.

I think the born again experience is starting our lives over, only this time, God is in charge.

I think the water baptism is symbolic of the many challenges we deal with in life.

The Holy Spirit is God - we need to walk with him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
